If you want a leaper whos effective in battle, here is my suggestion:
10 leap
10 throwing mastery (for 1 handed throw which you will be using often as your main attack)
1 double throw (your secondary attack, when you don't need a shield)
rest of points into double swing (synergy for double throw)
-
I'd aim for getting high damage throwing spears with +1 combat skills (for leap) and knockback, and perhaps IAS. Try to get 3 of them, 1 for your shield switch, and 2 for your double throw. Knockback on your spears would definately add to the annoying Leap effect. I do not recommend eth-repair items for any kind of thrower.

Then I'd use max damage jeweled gear.. 3os breastplate (low str + no slowdown effect), 3os 3leap helm, and 2os bone shield. Probably 3x Grandcharms with faster run/walk and mana, and have the rest be large charms with damage and stats (3max/xxAR/5str or dex). Angelic rings and amulet of course, but don't bother with the saber or armor - they suck.
It'd be a tossup between cowking boots (80 life on barb) and gorefoot (+2 leap).. but for uniqueness I'd do gorefoot. If built properly this barb should have great killing power as well as knockback and lvl 16-17 leap.
I was thinking of making it a hybrid somehow, but thought its damage and attack rating might be too low.

Edit: Since the gears for a pure one seems easy to obtain; think I'll make it when I have the time, and see if it actually is useless in team duels xP.

i wouldn't bother making a leaper at a lvl that low
the char will blow b/c the leap radius will blow. just lettin u know so u dont waste your time makin 1

besides, leap works best against casters and chars that use ranged attacks

there is barely any 18 team duels and barely any casters in 18 team duels. and if u encounter a ranged char like a bow zon, u wouldn't be able to catch her with shit leap radius if he/she plays defensive.

it works wonders at 30 b/c of the large leap radius

btw, the guide i wrote was my test char that used all rep

i remade leaper with all skill gear to get lvl 37 leap and it has about 1.5 screens of radius. i have rep gear in stash if i need

the damage / attack rating would be the same as a pure single handed thrower because 10 throw mastery is the max you can get at lvl 15 anyway. You will some AR/damage on double throw however, but still should have plenty. Single hand throw is the most useful attack anyway.. shield gives you extra jewels and block, and is enough to take out most duelers.

One: why re-use a thread... its kind of annoying.

the nec: PnB necs are already good tanks and usually eat melee for breakfast unless the melee char is very good. So whats the point exactly?

Sorry if it's annoying, but thought there was a rule that something bad would happen if you posted four threads on one page. Just didn't want to risk breaking that rule. I'll make a new thread next time xP.

I take that it's a yes for the Necromancer Tank Mr. Green. I didn't know if it was viable since I've only seen Bear Tanks.

i think that only applies to trade threads.

for the nec why not use string + rock fleece? i know its against the rules but this isnt exactly the most GM dueler neways.

Also you might want a bit of life rep or maybe some attack takes dmg as well as high def + life.

For the druid, why not just make a windy druid? And recast a lot....

Or you could just make a pally with tons of life rep, max block, dr, max res, and a high level Cleansing... Then use an insight Runestaff on switch for charge/mana regen. Also use holybolt to heal your party members...

Cough *clerk* Cough.

What does it do? I don't really see any harm in this:

Defense: 328-335 (varies)(Base Defense: 128-135)
Required Level: 29
Required Strength: 70
Durability: 55
+200 Defense
25% Chance of Crushing Blow
Hit Causes Monster To Flee 40%
+45 To Attack Rating

Edit: Should I use Iron Maiden or Weaken?

so basically the plan for both would be to just recast their respective armors and turn the duel into a stalemate? lame

I misread it Neutral... Would it be better to use Rockfleece than a 4 socketed armor with Sol runes (Damage Reduced By 10% + Damage Reduced By 12 versus Damage Reduced By 28 )? I wont try making the elemental tank xP.

Edit: Is it better to use Decrepify than Weaken though it costs 11 mana per recasting and duration doesn't last long.

Doesnt decrip slow and weaken them?

if it does i might use that... although now your getting to the point of being really bm.

I would prob just use weaken.

Also i would opt for the sol'd rockfleece.

I don't think it'll matter if this character is bad mannered since it'll do no damage. Do you know if maxed block affects getting hit while you have Bone Armor on?

max block does affect getting hit, but if crushing blow triggers it goes through bone armor
