Ok i am thinking of building a melee sorc. that has a zeal wep. but im not sure where to start. This is purely for fun in pubs.

ok i was thinking since she will be level 30;

dual spirits on switch for the enchant buff.
some kind of maxxer shield??
spirt shroud
magefist/frosties/bloodfists
p crown/or if i can find some not good sorc circ
dual soj/angels rings
angels ammy/not good sorc ammy
ck /sanders boots
death belt/soe

dont really know what skills i should look for
Obviously max enchant
thinking points into these as well
warmth
energy shield
frozen armor
shiver armor
chilling armor
fire mastery
and the prereqs
since its for fun and mostly for pub games i will probably be hell rushed

str-Enough for gear?/or none?
dex- Max block
vit- Rest
nrg- None

charms i was thinking a mix of life/mana and max dmg/ar/life dunno what woudl be best

i have never really attempted any build like this before so i was just wondering if i could get some insight or tips from some of you more experienced players. Any help on this is greatly appreciated

u cant use dual spirit swords on a sorc

and this build works best on lvl 49

but lets see how would 30lvl be...

skills:
1fire mastery
13 ench
20 warmth
3 shiver armor
and prereqs

gear:

wepaon: either zeal charged divine scepter(i guess best would be artisans divine scpeter of zeal) socked with fire dmg jewels or max dmg jewels or perfect ames if u need ar or maybe i guess id use 3 shaels for ias% depends on the ias% tables

artisans ancient armor of recovery?(or gothich plate) or what ever is the name of s3/24FHR armor sock it with maxers or fire dmg jewels with other mods(?)

artisans crown of recovery(still cant remember the right name) sock it with 3maxers or fire dmg jewels with other mods(still i guess these would be quite useful?)

artisans tower shield of deflection(or gothic?) with maybe few shaels for better block speed or pdimmys for res? or fire dmg jewels x_X

soj's for buff and angelics for main use

boots: sanders or cowking

gloves/belt immortal king

charms lifer/ar sc's

buff items: soj's/spirit sword/visc and maybe +2fire amu/+2fire skills criclet

and some side notes: the reason for anc armor and ik set part is that shiver armoir boosts your def and i think that u could gain pretty 'nice' def with these items and u also should have some FHR wich u are gonna need alot cos your melee sorc

thats how i would see this build :\

hmm so there isnt a shield that can have 4os under level 30, besides pally shields???

they arent viable.. atleasst imo.. they can tank with chilling armor.. i had a lvl 21 with all 15 max damg jewel'd gear and inventory full of 10 max/ar gcs

she killed pubbys.

and i got a nice chant staff for trade..

+1 fire
+3 chant
+2 chilling armor

hmm well imnot really using her competatively just for pub killing mostly so it sounds liek it will be fine, hm i got to thinking a that a very sexy leaf on a chant staf fwould be sexy for th ebuff insted of spirit, what would you want for the staff do you have an iso?

you'll want ias, dont forget. speed is they key once you've buffed your chant, as well as finding a nice balance between skills and effectiveness.

another version of the melee sorc is to go really high defense and max out shiver armor and synergies and let people kill themselves on you.

all yours for 1-2 hrs.. or some 15 maxxers..

My lvl 21 with all md/charms an md jewels only did about 400 with chant and hell rushed.. and when u find a zeal wep.. i think ull need some shaels in it.

iI only have 1 hr left currently, I am usually on in the mornings or I can set up some time to meet you after 3 pm cst this week. I originally was only going to to be lvl 21 because I have a zeal wep already that is lvl 18. But i thought that since fire mastery affects enchant I should go to 30 to maximize my dmg any way I can.

here's my 15lvl sorcs gear:

armor: gloriouus ancient armor of ease + 2* -15req jewels
helm: 14% s3 with 3* flawless rubies
shield: strong bone shield of deflection with 2* flawless skulls
boots: hsarus
belt: hsarus
gloves: bfists
rings/amu angelic
weapon: crushflange

or somethingh like that, i have changed the jewels on armor i think, but i cant remebe what i put in it :\ havent used that char for a along time, i dunno if its even alive anymore :o

but the point of ice shield sorc is to have massive life/def/attackers take dmg

I dont remember exact ias of sorc zeal but max was around 100-110 and its still too slow imo. 30lvl melee sorc is gonna suck, but if u wanna beat some pubbies with it ull need one point to light mastery too and use light dmg charms with other mods.
