iso: fury ias help |
|
ok...so ive got a lvl 30 fury druid and want to know exactly how much ias i need on my naga and grim scythe to hit max speed (4 fps..i think)
with lvl 5 werewolf, and 10ias from bloodfists....
i used an ias calculator and it came out that i needed 61 ias on my grim scythe and 91 ias on my naga for 4 fps...but every guide i have read has said to use a 6 shaeled naga (120 ias) and 4 shaeled grim scythe (80 ias).
Are these guides just oversimplifying or am i missing something
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i ran the naga through the weapon speed calculator and came up with the same number as you. so i guess 5 shaels and a 15 max jewel or something would be a better option. (didnt check grim scythe, just taking your word on it). only way i could see actually needed 6 shaels would be if you had lvl 1 werewolf and weren't wearing bloodfists.

Only the IAS from the weapon counts.

not necessarily. with little or no weapon ias and/or low lvl werewolf, off-weapon ias does help a bit

well...if 91 ias is the right number...i could use 4 shaels, a 15 ias jewel, and have a spot open for an ed/max jewel
or
1 shael and 5x 15ias jewels

....
The IAS off weapon is ignored in wolf form.

Actually he's right, non weapon ias does help, but to get to the faster frames you need impossibly high amounts.
So non weapon ias has no practical use.

Wouldn't that mean the Caddy would be socketed in different ways for more damage in high level fury druids, providing per example they use bloodfists?
I might be ignoring something totally obvious but 16060ias are useless in fury druids, why?

Non weapon IAS is worthless for all practical matters.
You need impossible amounts of it to hit the faster frames.

There's a situation for like lvl 12 maul druids or something like that where bfists help get an extra frame, but I guess that's different cuz we're talking about wolf form.
Anyway, yeah 6 shael is needed for max initial frame.
