It goes without saying that Wout is not actually in the tourney. However, feel free to duel him unofficially, since he has a build (ladder, I'm assuming), and it would be fun to get more mileage out of your characters.

Well, maybe they should, dammit! I'll make a website, call it DJD101 (Dao Jones Dueling), and soon I'll be world famous for creating a dueling style that maybe a dozen people would want to play. Duelists will hop onto D2 and boldly proclaim: "I am a DJ Dueler! Who wants to try me!?"

And everyone else will shake their heads in disbelief, and possibly smirk.

Seriously though - all of the duelers in my tournament are ladder. You should make a similar tournament on non-ladder, call it the "Wout Classic" or "Wout's Cow King Cup", and host it there. I'll bet a lot more non-ladder people will play in yours than ladder players did in mine. And believe me, having my name attached to this contest was definitely not a major selling point to encourage people to join (as you can see by the number of duelers that actually stuck around to duel in the event). I sincerely doubt that were you to make your own tourney someone would drop by, read the post, and think to themselves "well, it sounds like fun, but if Dao isn't hosting it then it's not worth doing."

hmm , its a bit hard when you dont have the game installed and cant play at home Crying or Very sad

but when i get to install it again i'll host a tourney i promise so everyone make lots of these builds, i made mine and he smashed nearly everything i came against except one fury druid who had full charms and jewels, while i had none Wink

TOURNAMENT UPDATE

Duelers! Hope you've all been having fun so far in your fights. Just a reminder, you have until Wednesday, June 8th at midnight PST to complete your match-ups. So far I've heard from many of you, so I know the duels are taking place, but there are still several match-ups to go.

In particular: I've only gotten one duel report from T_Maldo, and none from Ehhh. Are you guys still competing? (Especially you, Ehhh - you and I together discussed this idea, so if you punk out that makes you uber-chumply. Wink )

Anyway, good luck in your last few matches everyone. I'll post the top two competitors Thursday morning, and detail the next/last round from there.

I am so with you on that one. I'm taking a break from D2, and those are the major reasons I'm doing so.

Of course, I'm now on Guild Wars... which takes the stupidity of D2 players and shoves it down your throat every second you're on there... Rolling Eyes

I can't think of a better reason to drop out of my tourney than that one. Have fun!

Well. It looks like you guys are almost done. Here are (as my records show) the only duels left unfought:

Chewie vs lpb

Coatol2 vs Ehhh

DDRFreak vs Ehhh

If I've missed anyone let me know, but I think everyone else has fought each other. It's been an interesting competition, and we have three people with very close scores - any of them can make it to the final two, depending on who wins the last few fights...
