Ok, I was talking with my mom when we were in the car, eventually the conversation went into how A few countries (I think the U.S is one of them) have used radioactive bombs (not nuclear). We both agreed on just how stupid that was, because even though it kills the enemy, it contaminates the area for thousands of years, so that civilians and natural life cannot live there. It then got into the issue over biological weapons. My entire family agrees, that biological warfare is the most dangerous form that we can use, and that it should never be used.
What are your opinions on the use of biological weapons? Out of the 3 big ones (Chemical, Nuclear, and Biological). Because unlike Chemical or Nuclear, a disease does not have any radius. If anyone has ever read stephen kings 'The stand" or even watched the movie, you will know what im talking about.

i'll start off by saying now.. im the one % that said no... when i went thru basic.. they teach u bio/chem warfare.. now if u do quite a bit of researech you would know these agents are already "banned".. does it stop people from using it?.. no... american forces have chem/bio agents and will not use them according to the usaf its used to figure out antidote/cure... its almost the same story with nuclear weapons, accept they are legal weapons.. for that sole purpose.. if one country uses it, the rest want the power to use it... america espeacially. as far as the most dangerous chem/bio agent.. my opinion from stories told.. definately blister agents.. anyone who knows what it does would understand.. any1 who doesnt know, should really look it up.

Uhmm...trying to remember off the top of my head...essentially it melts off your skin while making you seizure so hard you break bones I think...I'll go google it and see if I was mistaken
edit:
wikipedia says it stops the synapse between nerves and causes uncontrollable muscle contractions and you eventually die by asphyxia since you can't inflate your lungs due to your diaphram not moving. i dont remember which one it was that is a corrosive and makes you seizure too...

Wasn't that the type of gased used in the movie The Rock, with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage?? That movie was frigging sweet.

I just did a chemistry presentation on VX and other organophosphate nerve agents. The Rock's depiction of VX was wrong, it doesn't melt off your skin. As meegz said, it basically blocks an enzyme that breaks down a chemical responsible for muscle contractions, so all of your muscles contract and you basically get choked to death by your own diaphragm.
VX seriously scares me to death, it can stick to whatever surface it's dropped on for a while, as the natural breakdown is pretty slow. They can blanket a whole area and if you go near it, you die.
On an equally comforting note, the U.S. Army's old method of disposing of mustard (a blister agent) was.. THE OCEAN. Somewhere around 65 million pounds of mustard (and nerve agents too) went straight into the great blue abyss.
Edit: VX and mustard aren't actually gasses, for some reason I typed "VX and mustard gas". I should know better

Yeah, I realized where it came from ~ an hour after I posted. I dislike it when they do dumb shit like that in movies. But they got half of it right at least, lol..
