Which is better a 2os vulpine bone of deflecting or a pelta luna? I'm thinking the bone shield seems better because of the extra socket, and less dex needed to reach max block.

Also, 40% faster block or 30% faster block is the same frame for a barb.

bash barbs need a lot of DTM. if you cant get atleast 25% DTM from other items, id use the boneshield.

i think the pelta. the amount of dex you save doesnt comepare with the 10 vita and 2 str on a barb which is 44 more life. so its either get more life or get more damage. choice is yours really.

I agree with Voices on this one. Bash Barbs DO need a LOT of mana. The Pelta is nice but unless you have a DTM ammy and some DTM jewels in your other equipment you will be better off with the VBSoD. Or you are gonna have to mana pot which is just plain wrong.

. -30% requirements only brings it down to 53 str requirement. id choose more life over looks.

then again, you may had 53 str anyways, depending how many -15/max/ed/ar jewels you put in your mili pick, so it might be alright.

if i remember correctly, rampage's barb uses a -45 req ancient so he has 55 str anyway.
and on a side note, his barb is damn sexy with the tower. i believe his reasoning as to why he doesn't use bone shield (he told me awhile ago) is because it "looks like a huge friggin bug". i'm not sure if he used "friggin" but i think it would have sounded better if he did. Very Happy

Yeah I used "frigging" I ain't got no potty mouth. LOL. And yes I use the Tower with 53 strenght because I use the Ancient with 3 x 15REQ/Max anyway. I find that the Barb benefits from extra strength as it adds to his damage as you pump up the strength. I still have in the area of 450 life. The block on the tower is the highest available (i think) so it cuts down on the amount of dex I have to use for max block. So I feel the trade-off is worth it. And he is real purty!

anyway, don't forget that less dex for max block means less AR.
