Hey, I found this sceptor today that might be useful for an interesting build.. a lvl 14 crushing blow zealot. Basically it + has 2 zeal, 10 IAS, dmg AR etc, the main thing being the 10 IAS allowing you to hit 6 frames (max for lvl 14 zlot) without help from any other gear, and +2 zeal to hit 5 zeals.
This would allow the use of crafted life gloves rather than using the standard bloodfists, in turn giving 10% crushing blow ( times 5 = 50% per zeal right?). Anyway I just wanted some input on how you think this would fare vs other lvl 14 zealots, or other llds in general, and if anyone has any suggestions for improving this build.

The extra damage you would get from the extra sockets from a 5 socket war scepter outweighs the small amount of crushing blow% you are getting from the gloves. Of course, if the scepter has good damage, the idea could work.

I think calling it a crushing blow build because of 10%cb is a bit of a stretch. You might be better off using gnasher and having less zeal hits?

Gnasher because the only other 2 sources of cb are crushflange and clegs set, and both of those give knockback.

However. You could make it a cb-sacrafice build where the knockback wouldnt matter so much.

clegs gloves give the kb. why not use clegs sword alone?

The set gives a load of nice things mostly the weapons mods and 35%cb from the whole set.

I think using sacra would be better because the knockback[which you cant avoid if you want a cb build] wouldnt be so big and issue.

can you post the wscepters exact stats or picture.. it might be usefull..
and I don't think cleg set is a good idea unless he is gonna be a pubby dueler bcuz of slow..

5 attacks with 10% cb doesn't mean 50%.

it means 5 chances of 10%...

0.9*0.9*0.9*0.9*0.9 = 0.59

1- 0.59 = 41%

That's the chance.

yea that scepter wouldnt be better than a 5os +3zeal scepter even if u stick a 20ed/9max jewel(and imo that scepter not worth wasting that kind of a jewel)

if you really want a cb ow build try a lvl 14-15 mauler..

10ow fhr belt

ck boots

I've tried it onces its really fun but I never had 9max/ar 9max/-15/dtm or 9max/dtm jewels so I gave it up

on the other hand maulers have big disadvantages including dmg ar mana
so I suggest keeping in mind the risk of wasting good jewels
this built would be very vaible with the usage of not good jewels and charms.. I'm pretty sure about it..

I like cb too. I have also been trying to get around the cookie cutter zealot build somehow. Right now I have a regular cleg sword lev 21 build.

With Deaths set I get:
1376 dam, 3592 AR, 611 life, 205 Def, 50 ias, CBF and the poison resis

With Sigons gloves/belt I get:
1402 dam, 3635 AR, 631 life, 242 Def, 50 ias, 20 Fire res, but no cbf or poison resis

If I go the complet clegs set up I got some nice mods but cant hit the 5 frame bp. I havent bothered yet with a jewel in the clegs shield because I don't know yet if its worth it. But here is what I get with it now:
1082 dam, 3796 AR, 611 life, 298 Def, 40 ias, 35 CB, 25 slow, kb

So the cb in this set up is great, but of course can't hit the 5 frame and I guess kb is a problem for zeal (don't known, I've never actually dueled with it yet). I can keep the Death belt for CBF when it is needed. Other times maybe try a belt with different mods = life/fhr. Of course, it could only be for public duels as it has slow. But maybe the slow will offset my not reaching the 5 frame break.
