Possibilites for a vlld smiter, are they good?
And if they are is there any good ones?

Umm.. more options for the poll would be nice.. "i dont know" and "no" isnt very good. Maybe add a "yes" option??

One reason vlld smiter are nice is because you dont need the +ar jewels or gear, but then again the only jewels usable is the +x to x damage ones which are much mroe rare, i havent seen one in forever.

Srry bout the no yes option i swore i put it. But anyways if they are so good how come there isnt ne vlld smiters? I think there was a post like 3 weeks ago about a lvl 18 smiter and they said u would hit run and count on OW to kill, which would take forever. So basically what i am asking is are they good, and if they are, y isnt there one.

vlld 9 smiters are so good they are not allowed in the melee tournements anymore. (they are classified within the open bracket.)

18 def smiters are great considering their cost.
however well built jabbers and zealots whould have no problem.

OW is NOT used to kill.
its actually crushing blow that does the majority of the dmg.

neither OW nor crushing can be used to acheive a kill hit,, the killing hit must be from another dmg method.

I could of sworn the mods like "adds 3 to 4 damage" was the only kind that helped the smiter? I am terribly sorry if im incorrect.

even if you get a jewel that adds 4 min and 4 max it doesnt affect smite dmg.

Yes, but because smite damage is so low they dont add much.

a pure level 9 smiter is garbage, although the gear they need is cheap
3x flawed ruby BP
3x flawed ruby mask
pelta and crush flange with dtm jewels
deaths, w/e rings and amulet you can get

they can take a good portion of enemy life down fairly quickly but have a extreamly hard tiem actualy killing them.

personaly i prefer to make a sac/def pally, and on his switch have a crush flang and pelta with dtm jewels, as this can be very helpful.

on the otherhand a lvl30 smiter can do a fair amount of dmg and get more crushing blow making smite an effective skill.

Vlld smiters are quite good at taking down an opponent's life quickly using crushing blow, and don't require expensive jewels or gear to start. Like mentioned, using smite to get the kill is difficult since it has naturally low damage. Its useful to have some type of switch weapon for the final kill, otherwise a smart opponent will finish you off before you smite him for the death blow. That said, a stronger option might be a sacrifice/smite hybrid, though dedicated smiters also do quite well.
