ok so i was so bored last night on d2 i was debating whether or not to go watch my front yard grow instead of mfing andy/meph/pindle and getting nothing but rejuvs and bling... and as a last chance 4 not boredom i decided to try and shop 4 a godly foh stick/hammy stick. but instead i ended up w/ a scepter with vengance charges. and i got thinking does neone else think it would be possible to make a decent melee sorc out of this? because as far as i know the masterys of the sorc up the ele dmg from vengance so when i wrote it down on paper it looked sumthing like this

1-coldmastery
1-litemastery
x-warmth
rest in either es or shiv armor?

then 4 items

not sure but sumthing with good block... suggestions appreciated

i know it doesnt seem the "greatest" but ide really like to experiment with it. so if u guys have ne suggestions on what i should do with skillz or items it would be greatly apperciated. and feel free to throw critisism in my face cause i dont plan on winnin ne major tournys with this chick... even though that would be pretty cool

for a good block my suggestion would be whistan's Guard shield from the Orphans Call set it has max block rate on sorc's and fast block rate and some defense too and u can always soc it with some nice jewel imo hope this helps u!
*oh and what lvl u are planning to make this char on? it helps too in deciding it and other skills/items if some has something to say

I was always under teh impression that vengeance takes your physical damage and converts it into elemental.

im hopin to make her lvl 30-33. and im pretty sure it is just a pure % of elemental dmg from vengance. and the only big thing im havin a problem with is whether i should just max warmth or go es or shiver amor. and 4 a shield what do u think about that +1 sorc shield w/ increased blockin and fbr. more imput plz

hey me.... agian i was thinking. what if i had a sorc orb w/ es/enchant/shiv armor? do u think that would be a better option if i can find one? and if neone has sumthing like that let me know plz

hmmm dunno about you but i tried making a zealchantress for low lvls... it isnt that great xD, maybe if i gave here better items might be better but its still funy owning publics xD but u need lots of orts + chips

A LLD Enchantress using a Zeal charged scepter, built properly, can handle all but the very best melee LLDers. The ideal build would probably be a defense varient using eth/rep/100 ED/2 OS/-req/Life ornate plate, either cubed eth Rhyme Grim or 90+ def/eth/rep/deflecting/2 os shield if you don't need CBF, and so forth.

An offensive build would be good too, but she would need high AR from charms and 15/70's for the ES to do her any good, since she'll be getting hit a lot, even with max block.

I used to have a melee sorc, the best way to make one is to use a scepter with zeal charges. use a +6 enchant staff and + skills gear to prebuff then switch to melee gear
