lvl 30 elemental druid can deal really nasty damage with Tornado (hurricane really isn't a problem). Although it's a caster, tornado deal damage best in close up action. Just want to know people's opinions here. Do you consider elemental druid a melee or range type?

Range, because I it CAN do both, but for that reason, it's long range considered. That like saying:

If a bow zon shoots guided's at me when I'm besider her, thats considered melee.

Right? I dunno.

I am pretty sure it does not count as melee because it can hit from a range greater then normal attacks... case and point chargers are considered ranged (not sure about this though Laughing

) because , I am assuming, they can attack from a long distance and tornado, although difficult too, can hit from this far too (not sure though Sad

). I say considered ranged.. but thats just me

im starting to feel for the wind druids..

their attack has limited range and it travels sorta slow.

and without the same r/w (3%!!!) well.... if u took a wind druid to a fireball sorc, Ga zon, charger, foh pal.... u can see the druid has to do the catching up and running,,, like the melee'rs

its a tough call .. but i say leave em as range bc they get to go 30.

Yeah it is ranged and life sucks for the druids, always has always will, even though now with 15-24 jewels gone there isn't too much hope...

From my experience, elemental druid is in a weird situation.

1. Elemental druid win all melee LLD so far. And by this I mean a face to face duel. (I want to hear different opinion though)

2. Sorc can't hurt druid, and of course, druid can't catch up with sorc. However, sometimes druid kill sorc because sorc get impatient and rush in to do face to face.

3. Necro kill druid for sure. Bowzon, given time, and sometimes given the name "pussy", can eventually take druid down too.

4. not sure about charger vs druid, but I would imagine charger will lose more to druid if not all. Due to druid's long life bar, you can't just wish 1 hit kill, not to mention 75% block on druid. However, while you charge in and out, most likely you will be hit by multiple tornados, and be dead.

5. don't know about throw barb. Maybe similar to a bow zon.

6. Hammer din may be a good match. not sure though.

7. Foh pally and Druid can't really hurt each other.

So, what is a elemental druid? It actually dominate the melee world, but hard to duel with most other range chars.

Maybe we should lower it's lvl to let's say 27, and make it a melee sorta of class, so to give other melee type a chance.

Casters are casters. Casters are ranged. There's no getting around that.

Yes they are at a disadvantage vs. other ranged...and yes they do great vs. melee, but I have beaten other ranged characters with my lvl 30 ele druid before. It's hard and takes patience, but it is possible especially if you have more frw than the person you're dueling.

The lvl cap and how they are classified is fine IMO.

So far with my druid... havent died vs a Meleer.
I know that druids have trouble vs necs. Its a 10% win ratio lol. If your lucky.

vs bow zons, well, you just gotta run and use oak or heart of wolf for decoy. Since ga sucks up mana pretty well, zons without mana is a dead one.

Sorcs are a joke. Obsorb pwn them too bad.

Charger? lol. like woah. If u play right chargers loose most of the time. Thats if they get a clear hit on you. Only close charger is this one that was lev 29, almost killed me with one hit but he didnt so he died.

I have a Level 30 Ele Druid and he has probs with ppl who have ALOT of fr/w but melee chars jsut run up and die to the nado's lol bu tmost of the time he does really well

there a strong build, i say there ranged only becuase no melee stands a chance and there attacks cna travel.

the way nado wobbles and its slowness is probably the main reason they lose to other good casters. i think there fairly balanced in the terms of lld, i even beat some good necros when i had my ladder windy with horrific charms.

tele staff helps catching bowzons or anything that runs in that matter
