I'd really like LLD101 to be a definitive source for build guides. While we currently have a fairly good selection, several of our guides are either outdated, incomplete, or may even include incorrect info or be muddled with a lot of talk or random spam. I know between the lot of you you've built just about every concept under the sun, so let's see some new guides! (Unless you're one of those douchebags who says "no way man - my build is TOTALLY secret!") Take a look at www.gamefaqs.com for an idea on what I'm looking for. I'd like to take our Guides section, remove the clutter, and break it out into better groupings/categories. (Kind of like "the Sticky" is, except not broken out in one thread.) So step up, and have your chance to be immortalized in this forum. Also, if you are the owner of any of our existing guides, please consider going back through it and cleaning up/reformatting it. If any good suggestions came up in the thread's discussion consider brining it into your first post. If you're happy with the final product I can delete the other posts in the thread, lock it, and call it a guide. _________________

Offer Forum Silver rewards ( or cookies...). If i have some spare time ill write a few decent ones. On WC barb (there are 1-2 guides, but not very good ones IMO) and one of a lvl 30 fissure druid (not sure if theres an actual guide... i know theres some info). I think if everyone(who is at least semi-knowledgeable) puts in some effort we could have a guide for just about every possible build out there. Also make sure to include my ATD sorc

Huh? I'm going to assume you weren't talking to me.
I originally thought about it, then decided against it. How about you just do it from the goodness of your own heart and a love of the game? But I'll tell you what: if we ever decide to implement FS into something tradable, you can bet I'll make sure that the guide writers are well-compensated for their contribution toward making this site better. Except you, because you were greedy. 
It does indeed! Thanks for stepping up. FYI - as I go through our guides, I'm stickying the ones that seem complete (so I can separate them from the ones that are not). Eventually, I'm going to subdivide them by level (vLLD, 18 and 30 LLD), and if I get anal enough, possibly by character type. In order for your guide to be complete it must have the following: 1. Complete skills, gear, and stat suggestions 2. All relevant information about the build must be in the first post 3. It must be a guide post, instead of a "what should this build look like" post that became a functional guide 4. It must not duplicate another guide (it can be the same build, but if it's exactly the same suggestions I'm going to only pick one) I'm not asking for much, really. Bonus points for including key breakpoints or play tactics, but as long as someone could read your first post and make a character then I'm content. It'll take me a few days to get through all the current guides, so if you don't see yours stickied right away don't assume it got turned down. As long as you meet the above four criteria you will get included. _________________

We should have a thread to tell people what we need guides for... Or we can just post them here. I looked through and didnt come across a lvl 30 trapper guide (fire or light) but since im not experienced with trappers, and i dont have time, i didnt write one. We could also use a lvl 18 blade assassin. Ill check for some more and then edit them in. EDIT: have torrent fix remake his lvl 18 pnb nec guide ( http://www.lld101.com/viewtopic.php?t=43463 ) and clean it up a bit. Possibly a lvl 18 or 21 bow zon. Level 12-15 fissure druid or lvl 12 or 18 medic (i think we have a level 30) ill check for more later. _________________

You really need to contribute more often, Shadow. Those are all great guides with a lot of good detail, and we could use more of that sort of thing. I'll sticky the Assassin and Blizz Sorc guides tomorrow (and I think there's another Blizz floating around here, too), and the Shiver Armor commentary should go into our "stuff "Sticky. the shiver sorc build is really only viable at lvl 30...ive tried it at 18 and it doesn't work. Even vs a mediocre 18 zealot it gets raped. I'd be glad to post my 30 shiver guide though. _________________  |

There aren't really enough for that to be necessary.
