matter of fact it was a picture say that jewel isnt perm duped

2-15 ADDS DAMAGE

well i tested a theory on a lvl9 rare 1 2-5 adds damage
so icame to see that that lil damn jewel was actully f'n pimp
min damage went up by 4 and max by 10 so that jewel really was a
4 min 10 max jewel correct??? so if that does that for that jewel then that 2-15 should be 4min 30 max then right???? thats y i have this question cause it added lotssss damage!!!!! with that 2-5 lvl 9 jewel,,,,,,
so that would make that 2-15 a very sougth after jewel correct??? even though its duped???>>>>> i dont understand how that jewel can be duped iam look on here to see where that pic was so i can give a refference........ ill edit obvisoly

All jewels add more damage than they list.

This is because your +max jewels are all multiplied by your ed%.

A 2-15 is OK but nothing great.

A 2-5 is pretty terrible for a level 9.

on my last barb, every +1 max dmg from a charm or jeweled got multiplied to +5 max

like i was saying the add damage jewels add more than what they really say.................i put a 2-5 on a naked lvl 9 turned out to do 4-10
so thast double
i just figured out i belive that what ever the base min on that jewel lets say a 3-6 jewel........ 3is base number multiplied by 3 so 3x3=9 then 3x6 = 18 so the jewel is really a
9 min 18 max and seeing how thast how's this is all comming out right in the numbers a 2-15 is a 4min-30max cause i have a 4-11 now that comes out to a 16 min 44 max for a lvl 18 f'n godly

its because of the %ed from skills, auras, off-weapon %ed (pally shields), strength/dex, etc. it'll be different on every char

Strength also multiplies the damage (sometimes dex, or both).

It's a simple fact that strength, +%ED from skills, and +%ED from non weapon sources multiply damage.

There's nothing special about the jewels. If you take off your weapon, it takes off more damage than the listed weapon damage. Doesn't make the weapon special either.
