Rerolling jewels?

lets say I found a rare jewel with a level 9 ilvl. Does this mean that it can only have lvl 9 req or less mods?

If so, rerolling it with soj + PSkull seems like a good way to get godly lvl 9 jewels, theres only so many different mods they can get, I don't think it would take too long to get a very nice one.

Maybe people are already doing this, I have no idea.

I probably average about 10 sojs and 10 P-skulls per decent Rare VLLD jewel rolled. For a truly godly jewel it is more like 25 or more of each. And you need to use low level characters to do the cubing or you will end up with many rolls over level 9.

OK, so can I roll any rare jewel with a low lvl char in order to get a good vlld jewel? Or do I need a jewel with a low ilvl too?

Is a lvl 9 char the best to roll vlld jewels with?

yes, roll with your level 9. if you are unsure of the ilvl of the jewel, roll with the 6 pskull formula first for a bit, to bring the ilvl down or up to the ilvl a level 9 makes. after that use the 1 + pskulls to roll it, as thatll keep the ilvl more or less stationary.

id recomend strong acuracy with these operations. u still want the jewel to get mods such as of wraith and also not go over the lvl 9 limit


your looking to genereate these ilvls

7 = of daring, dun
11 = wraith
12 = carbuncle
13 = rusty
14 = nothing new


dont worry about Affix lvl, jewels alvl = ilvl.

just worry about getting the jewel to stay at the ilvls u want to be eligable for themods u need. if your only interested in carbuncle of wraith, genereate ilvl 12 jewels


heres so math about the formula
(remeber to drop the remainders before adding in all equations)

6 skulls Final ilvl = .4(beiginning ilvl) + .4(clvl)

skul + soj final ilvl = .66(beginning ilvl) + .66(clvl)


u should probably set up a small excel sheet to see what happens with Clvl and ilvls over time

heres the answer for an ilvl 9 jewel.

use a lvl 25 with 6 skulls to jump the jewel to ilvl 13 in the first pass.. with the 6 skull recipe maintina the ilvl at 13 by using a clvl 20

with sojs.. use a lvl 13 to jump that ilvl 9 jewel to 13 in the first pass....then with the sojs recipe use a clvl 9 to maintain the ilvl 13 each time

if your going not ed jewels stay ilvl 12 but if u do want ed on them then ilvl 13

sweet so u could take a crummy 15 stamina jewel and get it gopd mods by rerolling? and wut does rerolling need? i mean like runes, etc. ty for your time.. Very Happy

1 Perfect Skull + 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan = 1 High Quality New Rare Item of the same type
This formula has the possibility of creating a higher quality Rare Item than the following formula. ilvl = int(.66 * clvl) + int(.66 * ilvl) That is, the ilvl will be equal to .66 times your clvl (rounded down) plus .66 times the input item's ilvl (also rounded down).

6 Perfect Skulls + 1 Rare Item = 1 Random Low Quality Rare Item of the same type
You can use this formula to get another chance at a Rare Item of the same type. ilvl = int(.4 * clvl) + int(.4 * ilvl) Player level matters. This formula will not work on items larger than 3x2.
