I love MLD there was an old mld thread but nothing really happened in it so ive pulled together some guids from the old mld site and some of my own and compiled them here... feel free to comment on them or give suggestions... if they seem good ill edit them into the guids as possible suggestions so here it is:

Follow basic ruels of GM dueling conduct
to put it in perspective the 31-49s are like the lvl 9s and 18s of LLD the lvl 55s 57s and 59s are the 29s and 30s of LLD
These rules are not of course set in stone by any means they are simply what most people on east follow and from what i understand what the people on west follow as well.

Hey guys ive made a few Mlder's b4, but never a melee 1. I have Recently come across a very nice warfist claw thats lvl 51 so i decided 2 make a Tiger strike asn. I need help in making a skill lay out but heres what i got so far.

With this setup I do @ 1.2k pvp damage i have 1887 life with bo... and im still missing about 10 charms

i made my pala 49 with same skillplacement, but i suggest to use less into zeal. pure zealer will lose 100% vs a good baba. id suggest to put more into another skill (either charger, but even with 1 in charge ull be doing enough dmg, so either add to smite or hs so u got a backup skill.
ive got (or had cuz i lost my gear when i popped :'( ) the best 49zealer on europe
id sugest to put enough with + skills to get 5hits,
(the gores and guillaumes makes or brakes this build. really there is no other option)
i had 6k zeal, 45dmg reduced, cb + ow + ds. with some luck (ds triggers and cb, 1 zeal kills any char)

I'm on E/NL/SC, and this is just to compete with other HLD'ers, so I know I'm being BM with Imp Brow and Grim Spur -_-
Anyways, I'm kind of stuck between which helmet/belt combo to use. Ideally, I'd like a +1 Amazon, 90+ life, 2 open socket circlet. But that isn't going to happen anytime soon
So I have two choices:
1. Peasant Crown and String of Ears
This gives +1 skills, 60 life, 15 FRW, and 15 DR. Very nice, no added strength (so I can swap out pcrown if I ever get ahold of one of those circlets )
2. Eth Thundergods and +2 Valkyrie Wing
This would require 11 points into strength to get the eth thundergods on, but it gives a bonus of 20 vitality, so I'm really GAINING 27 life by putting this on. Overall, it'd give me 27 life, 20 FRW, +2 skills, and 20 FHR.
So after all simplifying, it comes down to this:
33 life and 15 DR vs. 5 FRW, +1 skills, and 20 FHR
Anybody have any suggestions for me?

Skill Setup (assuming a hell rush, since this character is nice for killing certain types of hlds. wwbarbs without tgods come to mind):
+1 to dodge, avoid, evade, inner sight, and slow missile
+1 to magic arrow, cold arrow, multiple shot, and guided arrow.
+1 to jav and psn javelin
+20 to charged strike
+20 to lightning bolt
+9 to power strike
dont even bother getting lighting strike and lightning fury, because ull have to waste one point on the plauge javelin prereq for 2 moves that u wont use anyway.
if your not hell rushed, then take points off of power strike. thats only if u think u will need guided arrow as a backup. if not, then take off those points.
Stats:
str - enuff to use equip
dex - enuff to get max block
vit - all other points
energy - none
with this setup, your hitting at least 50% on all the passive dodge skills, which is pretty awesome. with 10x java gcs, u should be getting near to 3k dmg, while releasing 10 bolts. u'll also have max block, cannot be frozen, and maybe max resists if your carrying some resist scs, or your dueling in normal. u will hit the 11fpa bp with a socketed shaft, and the 10fpa bp with a twitch, with or without a 15 ias jewel in it. if u can get some java gcs with life, or if your using life scs, then your life should be nearing 1k, or passing it, without being bo-ed. your mana will always be pretty low, but dont really worry about that. only a really tough opponent, or one whos using sorb, should be able to make u use it all up
with the 50% on all the dodge skills, anything that attacks slow will have an impossible time hitting u. they have to get past your defense, your blockrate, and your dodge, to even land a hit. which means wwbarbs do really poorly without sorb.
i have a lvl 49 cs zon, built along these lines but without equip anywhere near as good as wut im listing here, and she hardly ever loses to something her own lvl. and guess wut!!! if u look closely at the items, u may notice that there isnt a single lousy dupe!!! this proves that dueling is still possible without buying illegally mass-reproduced items.
