ok im making a cold sorc but she's a mld'er lvl49
stats would be when finished: 1.2k life and 700 mana.
(note i cant boost mana higher, this is really MAX i can get, with using 8skillers. i know 700 seems low, but its like 2k at a high lvl)

question1:

now i was using
20fo, 20mastery, 12 synergie, 1 telekyn, +8 es (-235 with facet, 780'ish dmg) (usual setup)

im thinking if this wouldnt be better:
20fo, 12 mastery,1 synergie, 20 telekinese, +15es (-195 with facet, 600 ish dmg)

or better take the points from somewhere else?


EDIT: i did some checking with final gear:
and what i was using= 920 fo dmg, -235 cold resist, absorb mutliplier= 1.96 x dmg
what i sugest = 690 fo dmg, -215 cold resist, multi= 0.75 x dmg

it will decrease my offensive dmg with a rough 25%, but increase my defensive play (mana bulb) with a rough 125%. so i think its worth it but most tell me not to change it.... even if i got the idea that the offensive is not the sorc main problem, but her defensive. once she gets hit, she's a death rath.


question2

ive seen only the points invested in tele will help the dmg modifier, so with a +9es staff, and 20 telekinese i should be able to max absorb. is it worth losing the dmg and -resist? (most duellers would use 140 resist and dmg, as its a liga char (capped), hence the lowered mastery)

the main reason is, with 600 mana and only 1 in telekynese i lose my mana pritty fast. and no mana = death sorc.

question3

go for 105fcr or 65. hld id go 105 for sure, but without arachnid this is not easy.

20fcr orb, 30fcr armor, 20fcr shield then either go 65%fcr = frosties + 2soj
or go 125 fcr and replace amu +3/100life with +3/10fcr and magefist. id lose 40% mana and 100 life. or go +3/10fcr amu and circlet, and mage, and lose 200 life. worth the sacrefice? or replace one soj with a fcr mana ring. mmm so q:
worth losing
100life/40% mana (10fcr amu, mage)
or 1skill/40% mana ( 10fcr ring, mage)
or 200life (10fcr circlet and amu)
for 105 fcr? and if yes, wich is best option.

question4

how much fhr to aim for. 86 would be for hld, but how about for lld?
i got a fcr 24fhr belt. so i was thinking of leaving at 24 to get 10frames, or should i use 3 fhr skillers and go for 60fhr and 8 frames? and lose 90 life.

for ok'ish non perfect life mana sc's. (20life/10mana)

magefist + saphire = 15.43 mana/sec regen
magefist + skull = 14.94 mana /sec regen
frosties + saphire = 16.99 mana/sec regen
frosties + skull = 16.83 mana/sec regen

for perfect life mana sc's (20life/17mana)

magefist + saphire = 17.58 mana/sec regen
magefist + skull = 18.65 mana /sec regen
frosties + saphire = 17.18 mana/sec regen
frosties + skull = 18.85 mana/sec regen


my personal choice would be

20fo, 12 mastery,1 synergie, 20 telekinese, +9 es
+3/10+fcr circlet and mage, and get high mana, so the mages give the same mana regen as the frosties. (so only 100life lost to get 105fcr)
and go for 60fhr ( 3 * cold/12fhr gc's = lose 90life , compared to getting 5fhr/17mana sc, where id lose 8 * 20 life = 160 life)

personally i would ignore gettin energy shield and go all out life (the sojs will be enuf 4 mana)
my lv 90 lit sorc doesnt have ES and it works well.

well dont think it (at least in my first duells it seems not to work so good. 1 good fireball, 1 good charge, 2 3 guided arows and im death)

1200 life - 900 mana (no es) = u can rescieve (1200* 6) 7200 dmg

1000 life - 1200 mana (maxed es and synergie) = u can rescieve (1200 * (1/0.75) * 6 ) + (1000 * 6 ) = 9600 + 6000 = 15600 dmg.

(6 from pvp cut, 0.75 from es multiplyer)


so its losing 33% of dmg vs winning 110% of absorbing posibilities.
i think (after speeking to some persons) a cold sorc is just not ment to get hit. if u are a expert, they recon going for no es, but if u arent a expert in teleporting tactics, casting invisible orbs, etc etc and many years of liga playing with a sorc, a es is worth any peny of it.

its abit like the question, does barb go dual weapon or weapon+ shield .. kinda same question.


(also i forgot to add rune, that at high lvl, u probably got high warmth, tele, 2k mana etc. 2sojs only wont give me enough mana ^^ i really need frostburns, lidless, and MANY mana sc's. (fo costs me 45mana, tele 8 mana.... and 1k mana on a 49 is like 2k+ mana on a high lvl

but what i wanted to say: at 90 u can bo, giving u 3k-4k life... thats enough to be able to rescieve 1 or 2 hits without dying. most lvl49's do the same dmg as lvl90's, but i only got 1k life (no cta's etc) so 1 good hit could kill me. i dont got cyclone to absorb, or bone amor, or dmg reduced, or 20k defence, etc so IF i get hit, those 1k life will go down faster then u can could say *shit* hence the maxing telekynese idea.....

note: i thought too it would just be the copie of a hld cold sorc; but it aint gonna be so easy. i will be duelling liga players with many years of expertise, with tele spam orb spam orb spam orb u wont kill anyoone.


(ps just calculated, with non liga gear i could hit 1.1k frozen orb sounds sexy ^^)
