The rules are basically the same as LLD101 with some tinkering to adjust melee vs. ranged potential duels for fairness. Anyone interested in participating, click on the link, register on their site before doing anything, as the tournament is being run by that site and you need to be a part of it to participate...and please post the following on the link:

-Say that you heard about this tournament from this site (www.lld101.com) and that you want to participate.
-List your acct name and the char you plan on using.

It is 1 on 1, and the rules are listed in the link. It will take place within a few weeks depending on how signups go.

Hopefully we can get 12-15+ people involved to make for a fairly good sized tournament. Plus, they will be running and organizing it since it is sponsored by that site (www.cc-comp.com/d2trade) so it will be a learning experience for all of us and what we learn from it will make it easier for us to form our own tournaments in the future.

Plus, we can probably merge future tournaments together between the 2 sites for more participation and for organizational purposes. Also, note that there will be BIG rewards for winning the tournament...but you'll have to read the link to find out more on that. Wink

The people that run cc-comp are really nice and this should be a great experience for everyone who participates. And like I said, the outcome participation-wise of this tournament will determine the frequency and quality of future tournaments both on cc-comp and lld101.

Just remember, it doesn't do any good unless you register on their site. If you aren't registered, you probably won't be able to participate because we need a head count and we want to have it on one site to avoid complications. And since they are sponsoring it and taking care of the details, we need to chip in and register on their site to make things easier. Just follow the instructions in my post above. The cc-comp forums are the same type of forums as these are so there shouldn't be any surprises.

its all level 30 and under. no specific catagories, yet. if at all. feel free to duel our level 30s with your level 9 though Laughing

knarl are those rules the same for LLD101? cause

1) the rules posted in that thread leave out the MB + traps , and DF rule
2) the one in the forum says No MB + trap,, but doesnt say no DF
C) lld101 rules post has not been edited yet?

i have DF on my kicker for getting through prisons, faking chargers out, and getting runners + sorcs. i am glad to see that it might be allowed as i felt i needed it to stay competitive with those classes (pub' ladder).. this isnt just a typo is it?

I modified the lld101 rules to make them more fair for a 1 on 1 atmosphere where ranged will duel melee and ranged will duel ranged and melee will duel melee.

Jerkazoid, I should make a change about not allowing mind blast vs. melee chars. Thanks. I think DF is fine for this type of tourney.

About different categories, I hadn't thought of that.

It's a good idea though. That way melee can just fight melee and ranged can just fight ranged. Then I can win two times. Rolling Eyes

There is no official date yet, but it'll probably take place in 3-4 weeks.

Right now it's everyone vs. everyone, caster vs. melee, melee vs. melee, caster vs. caster, however the brackets turn out. The melee lvls are a bit higher to give them a better chance vs. ranged so it should work out pretty well. I hope. You should participate with your thrower Micah. Very Happy

knarl, whats wrong w/ their forum. I try registering and they havent sent me a email back. how slow does it take ... jezh. its been 2 days.
