A lot of people put a lot of effort into the vlld and lld rulesets and even if the lld rules are outdate they still give people a platform to start with.

The lld and vlld rules are still very often referred to and its incredibly selfish of the site mods to remove it.

I can't imagine with 29 posts you participated much in the league much less debated about the rules

The rules were for the use of the tournament, it exists no more, so I guess the logic was to take them down? There's a general consensus on whats GM or not, but there's always that grey area, always will be

wjot did i just say :3

He's posted here a lot more than 29 times...trust me. The easy thing to do would be to ask for what you're looking for. I can get it for you.

Could you link me or pm me just a copy paste of the vlld rule set?

Thanks.

Edit: And wank, if you ever get around to reading this, regardless of my post count, my post was pretty valid.

This Ruleset for the VLLD Character was adopted by the members of the LLD101 Forum by a 86% in favor vote. They will be strictly enforced for all official LLD101 events including THE LLD101 ARENA and subsequent tournaments. Proposals to change these rules should be posted in the PvP Discussion Forum.

LLD101 VLLD RULES:

1. VLLD for the purpose of LLD101 will consist of hell rushed characters.

2. The use of weapons with charges is allowed.

3. The ability SLOW and any item that gives this ability cannot be used. Items with slow charges may be used but the charge may not be used.

4. Bone armor may be recast but recast can be limited by dueling classes and by tournament organizers.

5. Level 12 builds can use any items that adhere to the other vLLD rules (e.g. slow can still not be used). However, there is an exception to this rule - neither Angelic's rings nor amulet may be used.

6. The following characters are allowed in VLLD:
Amazon
Jabber - level 9
Bow* - level 12 (must be pure bow)
Assassin
Kicker - level 9
Tiger Strike - level 9
Traps - level 12
Barbarian
Melee - level 9
Throw - level 9
Double Swing - level 12
Druid
Maul Bear - level 12
Feral Rage Wolf - level 12
Elemental - level 12
Necromancer
Summon Necro - 9
Amplify/Sacrifice Melee - level 9
Paladin
Sacrifice - level 9
Smite - level 9
Sorceress
Fire - level 12
Cold - level 12
Lightning - level 12
Melee - level 12

*Slow missiles is not allowed

7. No potting of any kind is allowed in VLLD.

8. In any official LLD101 sanctioned VLLD event duelers must show their charms and belts in a trade window if asked. Refusal to do so will result in disqualification.

9. Running, as a tactic, may be limited by dueling classes and by tournament organizers.

I forgot the PvP rules forum was hidden.

Was hoping to go and find the older 101 rules.

Rules of Low Level Dueling 101

Low Level Dueling 101:

Type ?GLLD? in the Clan-Honor channel (OP Clan-Honor) to see the current LLD game and password. You must have your account added to the bot or else you will be kicked from the channel. To have your account added, post in the registration forum.

Low Level Dueling 101 is a dueling league comprised entirely of low level characters built for the express purpose of dueling other characters around the same level. It was first started on USEast a few years ago in retaliation to all the dupes and hacks being used in high level dueling. It eventually spread to USWest, and everyone who participated had lots of fun in v1.09. However, since version 1.10 has changed dueling so much, it is necessary to completely redo the rules to achieve a more balanced dueling league. The rules we have comprised are here in order to create balance between all classes as best as possible. All rules must be followed in order to become an active member of LLD 101 and to participate in any upcoming LLD 101 sponsored tournaments.

If anyone feels that there are flaws that need to be corrected in our rules, please post your concern or idea on our forums under PvP Rules Discussion. If there is reasonable evidence that your claim would enhance the dueling atmosphere by creating better balance, the rules will be altered to accommodate it.

Character Level Requirements:

Note: These level requirements are here to provide as much balance between the different classes and builds as is possible. If however, you wish to remain at a lower level, that is fine. For example, if you have an old version 1.09 character, say a Jabazon, who is still level 21 (as the old LLD101 rules dictated), and you wish to have her remain at level 21, that is perfectly acceptable and you are still eligible to enter any LLD 101 tournaments.

Character Level Restrictions:

Amazon - 30
Assassin - 29
Barbarian - 29
Barbarian (Singer) - 30
Druid - 30
Necromancer - 30
Paladin (Melee*) - 29
Paladin (Charger**) - 27
Paladin (Smite***) - 28
Paladin (Fist of Heavens, Blessed Hammer****) - 30
Sorceress - 30

Skill Restrictions:

Paladins - Thorns may not be used at any time.

*Level 29 Melee Paladins may not use Holy Freeze, Charge, or Smite at any time.
**Pure Chargers are considered ranged characters. Any Paladin variant using charge as a means of attack is limited to level 27. Any Paladin can use charge as a means of transportation.
***Smiters may not use blessed hammer or charge against melee, but may use any other skill.
****Blessed Hammer Pallies and FoHers cannot use any damaging skill or attack aside from Blessed Hammer and/or Fist of Heavens. Conviction is allowed. Holy Freeze is allowed. Charge is allowed as a mode of transportation, but if you do connect occasionally, that is allowed and understandable sometimes due to desynch and the rapid movement of charge. (most BH or FoHers will not have enough dmg or AR to do much of anything anyway)

Amazon - Slow Missile may not be used at any time.

Assassin - Traps, mind blast, and psychic hammer are not allowed in melee duels. They are allowed in ranged duels.

Barbarian - Level 30 Singers can only use warcries as their attack. No other damaging skill is allowed to be used.

Druid - Ravens, spirit/dire wolves, grizzly, and vines are not allowed in melee duels.

Necromancer - May not use Bone Prison, Decrepify, or Clay Golem at any time.

Sorceress - May not use Frozen Orb or Teleport at any time.

All Classes - In a melee duel, no ranged weapons, skills, or spells may be used. (i.e. Charge, double throw, blizzard, guided arrow) In a ranged duel, no melee weapons may be used. An exception would be in a hybrid vs. hybrid duel where both characters have access to both a ranged and melee attack. However, the combatants must agree beforehand on which type of a duel they wish to do: either pure ranged, pure melee, or hybrid.

Item Restrictions:

-No items with the "Slows target by X%" modifier.
-No items with the "X% chance to cast Amplify Damage" modifier.
-No charged items are allowed to be used. (Example: Life Tap wands, Amp wands, Teleport amulets, etc.) The items themselves can be used, but the charges cannot be used.
-No more than 200 poison from charms is allowed to be used. No more than 200 poison from items is allowed to be used.
-No Hacked, Duped, or Bugged Items are allowed in any shape or form at any time. This includes but is not limited to Carrion Grinder and Carrion Horn (classic USWest dupes).
-When dueling a character who relies on elemental damage (sorc, trapsin, ele druid, etc...), a maximum of one of the following may be used during the duel: Hotspur, Venom Ward, Infernostride, Nokozan relic, or Hawkmail.
-There is no limit to the amount of resistances you are allowed to stack.
-Rockfleece and String of Ears may not be used at the same time.

Other Restrictions:

-Characters may not pass Normal difficulty.
-All duels will take place in the Blood Moor in act 1.
-No mercenaries may be used at any time.
-No wells or shrines may be used during duels.
-No potions of any kind (including mana, antidote, and thawing potions).
-No outside third party programs. (Including but not limited to Maphack)

Team Dueling/Team Tournament Rules:

-All of the above Item, Skill, and Other Restrictions are to be followed.
-No more then half of a team may consist of ranged characters, rounding down on odd numbers.
-Duels are to be fought best 3 rounds out of 5.
-No more then 1 of each ranged class allowed per team.
-Any member to use a banned skill automatically loses the round for their team.
-Any member found using banned items (Including charms) is banned from dueling in the tournament, and their team is forced to duel without 1 member, and also automatically takes a 1 round loss.
-In duels where ranged characters are present, (Charger pally, sorc, necro, bowazon, etc?) melee characters may use throwing weapons, though no skill may be used in conjunction (Double throw, throw mastery, Lightning bolt etc?)

-The Blood Moor is to be cleared completely.
-Each Team chooses a Captain upon joining the game.
-Both Teams must consist of equal numbers and will start at designated points of the blood moor.
-Both Captains say "Ready" when their team is prepared.
-After both captains have said ready, they then say "Go."
-Once the second captain has said "Go", the duel begins.
-Excessive running without attacking for the sake of regenerating mana and/or life is not allowed.
-Once dead, you must stay inside town until all members of 1 team have died. You may not run and get your body until such time. Paladins who die must stay in town AND TURN OFF THEIR AURA so that their team members who are still dueling do not benefit from it.
-When one team has been killed, the team with survivors is declared the winner.

Other minor changes before the most "current" ruleset:
Code:
all barbarians to 30
assassins to 30
frozen orb allowed
paladins except smiters to 30
[/code]
