"Arms" if I recall correctly, changes over time based on what people today consider to be common use. I believe there was a court case way back when that ruled on whether handguns would be covered by the 2nd. Because people commonly used them both for home/self defense and other lawful purposes it was classifed as arms covered by the 2nd. Fully auto firearms traditionally used by military and armed forces never made it though.
I'd rather see a way to produce caseless ammunition over lasers. It would be awesome to not have to lug around all that brass. Plus with lasers you'd have to deal with overzappification instead of overpentration. _________________
I just wish they'd clear up the laws. I've had friends tell me of instances where even ATF agents couldn't figure them out.
Almost sawed the Bayonet lug off my SKS for that reason. _________________ ___________________________________

A lot of the rules and regulations lay in a "gray" area. Some places will care, some won't. The problem is, most of them will be open to interpretation and it won't change unless someone is independently wealthy enough to start challenging these things in court. _________________
