Hello everyone. I'm planning on making a few different builds to test with.. My question before I start any testing is that if you were to go 100% Elite, you had all the +MAX/AR/-Req Jewels you needed, which would mean you could use the best possible equipment.... What would be the best VLLD character? (Level 9)

I'm thinking the Sacadin or the Kicksin but I could be wrong and would like to know.

probably a sacrifice necro if you could do everything 100% perfect mods/gear

but then again a zon would be outrageous with all perfected items.

Im no vlld guru, but as far as i know, jab zons are the way to go assuming elite gear.

Sacrifice necro? I've never heard of such a thing to be honest.... I can't find anything in the guides either, or I'm blind....

Why a jab zon? I'm sure they are fast but... Well I guess no buts really.. I'm going to look in to optimal gear for both builds (have to find out what a sacrifice necro is) and than I'll get back to both of you hopefully.

A jabber would likely be the deadliest, but my personal preference would me a min damage sacadin.

I'm looking at the jabber build... I'm not seeing how that could dominate say a very well setup sacradin... Unless maybe he's not putting the best equipment?

your negelcting how powerful dodge and innersight and an attack that hits more than once is at lvl9.

Jab lists less dmg but hit checks 3times & a zon dodges + blocks. They rock.

If you have perfect gear then almost all the classes can be really good. But they are right. Dodge is the key to the JavaZon. She does not pack as big a one hit punch as some of the other classes but the fact that she can dodge the other classes bombs and stay on her feet gives her the advantage over time. She will whittle them down with a constant Jab.

Ironically, when I made my first Zon at level 9 everyone was playing Bash Barbs, Sac Pallys and Tiger Strike Assassins. They told me that you could not make a Zon Work. I guess maybe I was the first one to "get it right". It took me two years to get her just the way I wanted her. Breakbeatz ended up with her after I quit and gave the account to Redawg who in turn sold it. I believe Breakbeatz changed out the shield that I used but I never saw her in action while he was using her. I am not sure how he solved the mana issue using the 3 socket large shield. I used a 12% Vulpine Kite Shield of Deflection. Mana is the achilles heal of the JavaZon and mana pots are not permitted. I know that some used a single row of mana pots in the belt so no one would know and that is the reason the requirement to show your belt in the trade window when asked was put in.

Anyway back on subject. The easiest build to make is the assassin followed by the Bash barb then the pally. The Zon is probably the hardest because it takes the best gear to be really good but when she is good she is very very good.

Ok, since reading a lot on here... I have found this shield but won't the bonus Enhanced Damage be bad?

I'm making a VLLD Sacradin to start, the Enhanced Defense is off by one but that's ok... Will the Damage cause problems?

well that shield u posted is low in all aspects...
look for higher ed and ar.. and 4 soc ofc. i think i have one of the better sac pally on west nl but he still dies to certian ppl here.
but yes a zon is the best way to go. if u have time. and lots of stuff to trade.. i think and most know i might have the #1 on nl now certain ppl know it can kill golden stinger. which i have top of the line jewels charms etc but was extremely difficult to get. zons need all perf or near perf items and there eth rep java is hardest to get. i think i imbued 3 okie javas. and 1 godly 1 but that took me a year to imbue. go with krajees idea of a min sac pally. and im building a sac necro atm as well.
but finding what u need is really super hard. but if u have time make both..

Mind posting your stats on shield prior to having jewels in it? And your equipment also?

I'm not rushing to build this guy, I have 15life / XAR Lc's (A few anyways) and a nice rare jewel w/ Max damage / -15req and a pick w/ 15% ed but that's all I have right now.... I'm going to take my time and make him right but I want to be sure I'm making him right before I get to ahead of myself. Smile

I thought Max sac pally's were better than min?

the balance for avg dmg is in favor of min for 2 reasons

1) if min > max then max = min+1
therefore each +1min = 1min+1max

2) min dmg is usualy in supply at 1/3 the amount possible compared to max but at the VLLD range its upto 8min per jewel vs 14per max.
+8min surpasses the 50% mark so it comes out better provided you dont waste any acheiving the threshold.

u need a 4 sock pala shield hitting closer to +65%damage. thats perfect

A min sac pally will 4 hit KO any other vlld.

Ok, I'll look in to that a bit more... So now I'm wondering... I've made some changes to this, is this actually the best gear a VLLD Sacadin could wear?

15% ED Superior 3 socket Crown- socketed with 3x max w/ -req max dmg jewels (Maybe +8 Min Jewels w/ -req mods instead?)
15% ED 4 socket Ancient Armor- socketed with 4x w/ -req max dmg jewels (Maybe +8 Min Jewels w/ -req mods instead?)
15% ED 6 socket military pick- socketed with 6x max dmg//Max EDamage jewels (Maybe +8 Min Jewels w/ mods instead?)
4 socket paladin shield w/ inhereted ed/ar mods- socketed with 4x max dmg jewels (Maybe +8 Min Jewels w/ mods instead?)
deaths gloves or Bloodfists ?!
deaths belt ??
hotspurs/hsarus/gorefoots boots ??
life/mana/str or dex/ar rare rings,
Magical ammulet- 5 strength or dex., or some rare with nice str or dex, ar, mana, life, along those lines.

if u want to go crazy try getting eth repair helm with dual sockets.

u prob need the deaths glove/belt and then rare boots would be best i think, hsarus or spurs works for w/e

maybe a dtm ammy with the +5stats
50+AR rings with +2stats as well

i do hope u realize just how rare those jewels are though
