This is the skill and equipment arrangement I am currently debating:
Skills:
20Claw Mastery
1BoS
1Venom
1Claw Block
1Blade Sentinel
1Blade Fury
1WoF
1WoF Prereq
1Blade Shield
Rest into Fade or maybe some into Block

Helm: PCrown w/ either Max D Jewel or Pruby; 3Max D Helm
Armor: Peace;4maxD armor, 3maxD life armor;Twitchthroe;SpiritShroud with MaxD or PRuby
Ammy/Rings: Angelics
Weapon1: Strength Eth Claw, Malice Eth Claw, Eth Claw with 2 Max D (Exceptional lvl 30 req is 2 max socket), Eth Rare.
Shield: Artisans XXX of Deflecting with Max Ds, Whitstans with max D, Rhyme Grim
Weapon2a: Strength or Malice Eth, 2Shadow socketed with Max D (if very lucky etheral)
Weapon2b: 2Shadow
Gloves: Knockback Hitpower, Knockback blood, Bloodfists
Boots: Sanders, CK, Natalyas (need frw due to Fade>BoS), Tearhaunch
Belt: Deaths, SoE, Blood

Inventory: Mainly Max D LC's, rest filled with frw, fhr, res, lifers etc...

Which options do you think would work? This build is underpowered by most lvl 30 standards so I'm not sure if it could work.

With some good charms and a well planned strategy, I could see this build doing alright against most. I think you would have a bit of trouble with sorcs because of how they tele so quick.

2os +2 Shadow Disciplines/30 FRW circlet might be another option (for Claw Mastery). Also, Blade Shield isn't worth putting a point into; doesn't last that long and not that effective (only for appeal in my opinion).

Might be fun to make it into a hybrid by putting points into Mind Blast Rolling Eyes

agreed on the MB and i guess the bladeshield is a bad idea as well (don't want to be in close quarters with anyone). I think i might try crafting a blood helm for this one (crit strike, life, and possibility of plus to shadow skills and sockets no downsides really other than the odds of getting everything i want really low and high probability of too high lvl req...anyone with suggestions of what level to craft at for this one...yes ive read the crafting tutorials...this is funky because of the plus 2 to skills i would want am not sure what lvl req that would make the helm). Main decision will be armor, im fairly set on peace due to the fhr and crit strike.

make 18, u get pretty much same skills, and can get a claw with 85+ max dmg, can get knockback from gloves too

I can get significantly higher damage at a higher level from charms and can boost my survivability much higher via +Shadow skills and much higher Fade and Claw Block. Also with Peace I would almost always be hitting for double damage. Yes a lvl 18 is a much more viable build in its division, but with the suggestion of MB i would like to test this thing as kind of a damage over time build with decent damage coming from the skill and possibly doing OW with Malice and a decent ammount of Venom damage while keeping them pinned down with knockback and MB.

I had the best one on D2. I still have the +3 blade fury Strength hand scythe, that I used. Fun stuff. They are very fun and viable if you invest enough into them. I used half an inventory of 3205s :O
