Whats the best cLvl to craft on?
and does iLvl of the belt effect the mods?

Belt for a lvl 30 Caster

this is what i've been told...

lvl 18 = 100% lvl 30 or under belt but not great mods...
lvl 24 = 80% lvl 30 or under belt with good mods
lvl 30 = 50% lvl 50 or under belt with best mods

so when i crafted items, i went for lvl 24...

also heard that gambling in act 2 of normal is best place to gable magic belts...once again this is what i was told...

i was aiming for a 10fcr/10fhr belt...i would say i got one of those every 15 times...

i just needed a plain crappy fcr belt just as a temp to hit a breakpoint on my sorc, so i crafted with a lvl 1 to make sure it was under lvl 30 req. my 3rd roll was 10 fcr, 17 fhr. so there's a start. i gambled the belt with my highest lvl char

It depends on what mods you want to craft
Most popular is the 24 fhr/x fcr, which can't get any other mods or else it will have above 30 required level
The 24 fhr suffix has an alvl of 18 (look on bnet's website), so you want your belt to have exactly this ilvl to prevent other junk mods from spawning
The equation to determine the ilvl of a craft is: (clvl rounded down)/2 + (ilvl of belt rounded down)
You want this to equal 18 or very closely above it
I crafted with a lvl 16 char using belts I bought from norm fara (all those are ilvl 20) so 16/2 + 20/2 = 18
I went through about 15 before getting a belt that I found even better than 10 fcr/24 fhr, which was 10 fcr/17 fhr/4 replen
To craft this belt, you need ilvl 10, so you can craft on a lvl 1 char using light belts bought from fara

Also if you're curious, the req lvl of a craft is as follows: (alvl of highest affix) + 10 + 3*(each additional affix)
