Subject description: because I felt like it

so im thinking about making a light trapper with high life rep just to be really, really annoying. here's what im thinking so far:

pcrown (skull)
spirit shroud (skull)
spirit long sword
whistan (pdiamond)
rare 2 trap, 10 fcr, rep life, resist ammy
magefist
sojs
bladebuckle
nat's boots

now i know i could get 15 more rep life with a 5 rep belt and 10 rep boots, but i like the frw from nat's boots, and i'll need the resists too. as for bladebuckle, its got 30% fhr, 5 str (it'll equip nat's boots) and 10 dex. so meh. if i can get a 24% fhr, 5 rep, nice resist belt i'll use it.

i'll have 10 frame trap laying and 65% fcr bp. but will it be worthwhile/viable to build a trapper like this? or should i just use vmagi, blood boots, etc.

ofc it might b viable.. why not? Neutral
just keep few life / resist scs in inventory to overcome that loss of 35 resis from viper and u are good to go Smile
edit:
dont use spirit long sword.. imo long swords are ugly Very Happy broad for that well.. broad effect Wink

weapon type affects trap laying speed. long swords are the fastest sword type you can make spirit in

Phase blades Razz

But for lld, you are correct Smile

Imo a 105 fcr bp wof/mb sin is so much more annoying than a light trapper w/ lower fcr.

since ias affects trap speed and fcr doesnt, you should use different gloves

You won't regen that much, and since you're light you won't put people in stunlock, and with low trap damage... I see this as a waste of a LLD.

i beg to differ on the stunlock...I had a 65 fcr light trapper a while back and i was able to stunlock people fairly effectively...they usually got away eventually, but even with my terrible trap damage (like 500 max lol) I took 1/2 health off them with one stunlock...I thought it was reasonably effective, no nextdelay either. It isn't like you can't get out of fire traper stunlock too...

it still stunlocks effectively. Not quite as solid, but you keep getting re-locked because of the range.... while fire traps are pretty easy to get out of if you walk with them and leap.

I honestly have a harder time with the light trappers than the fire version, not sure if its because I keep coming in/out of stun or the lightning trappers just do more dmg?

i dont wanna make a fire trapper, there are too many. and haura here actually inspired this build Wink and its not just the mb that does the stun locking, the traps themselves do that once they are stunned. also, why would my trap damage be low? i'll have 900 trap dmg x 5 traps
