Careful, alot of ebay-esque sites are full of scamming people who don't do it on ebay or have already been picked off ebay.

my roommate, who is actually a huge Chinese FOB (one of ym roommates left halfway during the year because he got in a fight with my landlords), bought a camera lens from someone off ebay and payed 1000$ money order to the guy.

He never got his camera lens and the guy changed his address or something.

Lesson: ebay is full of scammers faggots

Did he contact paypal?

I had a friend who sold 800 dollars on magic cards online. He used normal mail, the guy got the cards, and then contacted paypal and said he didn't. Since she didn't have a confirmation number (since it was normal mail), they took out 800 dollars from her paypal account...

Lesson: Everyone is scammer.

No, I believe the lession there is not to be stupid with your online dealings. Also get insureance and a tracking number for your package, another good thing to remember dont send someone a thousand dollars in cash.

Although I think if you got a lawyer you could track the guy you sent the money order to. If you can't look out for yourself online dont make the transaction.
