I was thinking of hosting an iron man tonight since no one else has said anything about having one. the rules are...

-this is going to be on hardcore ladder Uswest
-Any type of character or build is allowed.
-All characters must lvl in the same game
-Once you reach lvl 9 you may continue lvling and looking for items but you can NOT go past lvl 9 ( no exceptions)
-Once everyone has reached lvl 9 all must go back to town and have 10 minutes to get there items/gear ready for battle.
-I will explain who fights who while in the game.

Now this is my first time hosting an iron man competition and i will take suggestions on how to make it better. It will be held at 9:00 p.m tonight(saturday). I need 7 players who want to join. All competitors should meet in channel op nori. Post here if you want to be in this event. First 7 to post get in. Even if you are not one of the first 7, you can still post and be a back up in case anyone drops out or cant make it. I hope we can get enough players to make this a fun and exciting ironman.

edit- i would suggest that you let people level as high as they can until the last person gets to level 9. its not fair for the people who level faster. plus they might die when they try to lvl too fast in the barraks or someplace dangerous. the person who levels slower just gets all the drops to himself and its not fair.

hmmm i would do that but the person may use the extra stat or skills points

they should have the right to use them. its not their fault that the other people level slower. the people who level slower still have 8 players in the game and therefore get all the drops to themself while everyone else has to wait in town not getting any better. the slow levelers shouldnt have an advantage over the people who level faster...

hmmm, ive never been in an iron man before, but it sounds like the whole point is to make the best level 9 dueler you can, not to see who can level the fastest. Anyways... I'd like to join my acc is *Vakax

ironman isnt about being level 9... its about being able to make the best dueler you can without transfering gear to them and living off what you can find/get from players you kill. it actually takes more skill and not wealth like in regular low level dueling.
if we have to stay level 9, i will just unparty and follow the people that are still leveling and steal their drops so i can get better gear... Twisted Evil

viet, no offence, but that idea is ludacris. the point of an iron man is to use the items you find to make the best dueler, not level as high as you can in the amount of time allowed. its a level 9 ironman, and thats how they have always been fought..

you think letting a person have an extra 20 minutes to level, possibly finding a charm or a rare jewel is unfair? how about letting someone gain 3 more levels and having 6-21 more life, and possibly doing 40 more dmg (or more, depending on the skill)? that cancels out any charm or jewel you can find.

its as plain and simple as i explained at the ironman i hosted. you want more time to pick up items? dont level as fast. the main crowd of you guys went off as a group and just started slaughtering monsters, wanting to get to level 9 asap. thats not the way to ironman. atleast not the way if you're hoping for some good gear. simple as slower leveling = more gear drops. faster leveling = less gear drops. so, if you dont want to be waiting, dont level as fast.

Does 10:00 p.m work for you guys? this will give us more time to get the last few people and chickens can be in it.

I agree with what voices is saying. I mean sometimes its fun to go in a group and just see who has the fastest mouse hand in the west but i think its just as fun to let ppl go out on their own and let them try and get something.

we still need a few more ppl so plz join. It will be fun

10 isnt good for me. (i live one east coast) so its 1 here. and the last iron man took forever (2 hours) bc some people like to level really slow... Shocked

. i might be able to make it but chances are i wouldnt be able to be there at end. if im not there, ill just have to kill you guys next time.

Viet If you cant make it at 10:00 for sure then i will do it at 9:00 pm, chickens might not even make it... so i guess it can be 9:00 thats pretty soon so and we need 2 more ppl So please 2 more ppl join Confused
