I'm completely bored.. and I think this would be cool. It's almost like a team tourny all the time..

Get teams of 3 together, and their like.. your TEAM.. lol.. You can challenge other teams any time via-PM, or whisper. Make characters that will benefit from one another, so it will kinda re-spark lld among a few of us. Some of us are real bored of D2 now, and its not just me. I'm tired of just 1:1..

It's almost like on xbox live, you have clans, and every-so often a clan challenges another, and they set a time..

So..
Teams of 3-4
Teams challenge other teams, "wager" on the duels if you want..
Best 3/4.. I have no idea.

I don't know, it sounds awesome to me.. what do you think?

i think its a good ideea, only that i dont have any non ladder items left =)

but i would like to do some tourny that doesent require you to have taht much 15 life smalls and such, (im not rich on those on my ladder chars =)
so im more in for some Iron Man and such, but hey that dosent have so much to do whit lld101 tho =)

but i must say the dueling spirit seems kinda low, not that I participate much or anythig, but to keep the chalange and fun up, somethings gotta be done.

It could be fun in theory. If it actually worked to the point where all 6-8 ppl depending on the size of the teams could get on at the same time to do it that is...

We could even have rankings of all the teams too...

Just brainstorming an idea here:

What if say we got 4 teams assembled on each realm (west and east) and like choose a random number or something to pick who begins at what rank (each realm would obviously have separate ranking brackets, so 2 sets of 4 teams). Or we could hold preliminary duels to decide who gets what position.

Then, the challenges can begin.

Say the #3 team wants to duel. They can choose to duel the #2 team, and if they win, they move up to the #2 spot. If they lose, nothing happens to the rankings. Or the #3 team can choose to duel the #1 team. If they win, they get the #1 ranking. If they lose, the #3 team is lowered down one spot, to the #4 spot, and the previous #4 team gets the #3 spot by default.

And then, we could say that the #4 team can never duel the #1 team. That way, the #4 spot will be held in much contempt and would discourage people from challenging the #1 team all the time without due preparation. In other words, it would eliminate repetitive rematches.

So basically, if the #3 or #2 team duels the #1 team, and loses, they lose one ranking, so the #2 team would become #3, and the old #3 would become #2, etc...But if the #3 team duels the #2 team and loses, nothing happens to the rankings.

Also, we could make a rule that says the #4 team can only duel the next available team, which would be #3, making it even less attractive to be in the #4 spot because they would first have to beat the #3 spot, and then they could have access to the #2 or #1 teams if they wish. And if the #4 team duels the #3 team and loses, nothing happens because the #4 team can't go any lower.

Hopefully that makes sense, I just wrote down what came to me lol. But I think this definitely has a possibility of working if there is enough interest. In fact, it would be really cool if we could get 4 quality teams on both realms.

I think that the ranks like that are kinda confusing, and would make people lose interest.

Maybe just tally wins/loses?

Also, limit to 2 melee's 1 caster, or 1 melee 2 casters?

Because 3 casters vs a 3 melee team = bad?

Sure...but no self respecting #1 team would do that. I would never turn down a duel unless I have a good reason, and this IS just a game after all...

I would find it retarded if a #1 seed would just deny every challenge cuz they assume they're the best and they want to keep it that way...

I love the idea. Kinda feels like March Madenss in basketball...Except i hate basketball Razz

I'm gonna make a dueler for these kinda duels...If it works out of course.
Btw, is it teams of 2 or teams of 3? Because Voices said necro + Conc barb + elem druid...and I thought it was teams of 2 =/
