I couldn't actually find it in the search. People keep talking about them and I'm starting to wonder

Haha. Ok so I pretty much made that except I put my 4 points into defiance instead of smite. That's quite funny. In terms of skill placement, would you use mostly smite with an FoH that is basically a lovetap, or power up the FoH and lovetap with your shield, or somewhere in the middle with both being fairly strong?

Good V/T's are effective as both. They're good because they're flexible both close range with smite and in ranged duels with a never-miss FoH attack.

A Vindicator/Templar is versatile in their skills placement. You can either lovetap with the shield or the FoH. On my high-level Temple V/T, I chose to lovetap with FoH, and cause the pain with smite.
In LLD, It's so much easier to make FoH the lovetap than it is Smite, being that FoH gets a very limited amount of damage at level 30, even with the best gear and build.

like a pathetic sort of hit. in this context, it refers to the attack with the lower damage.
i have a v/t, but i made it mostly for killing casters, so it's foh does more dmg. the smite dmg is still pretty high though...something like 2.2k or more.

V/T stands for Vindicater. A type of Paladin build using FotH/Smite in combination to kill its opponents. In high levels this is one of the most deadly builds in the game along with the Liberater and Judicater. Basicly your a lesser version of a Smiter and FotH Paladin but can use both effectivly. Keep a smite setup on switch and a FotH setup on the other switch depending on what your going to be using. It also helps to keep a specific aura on each side, like Fanat on your Smite switch and Conviction on your FotH switch.
