I've been looking into making a bowazon because I want that bow I found to be put to use, and no one wants to buy it. I've been looking into skills and items and this is what I have so far:
Skills:
Guided Arrow: 13
Critical Strike: 6
Dodge: 1
Avoid: 5
Evade: 5
Inner Sight: 1

What I am wondering is it worth it to invest in valk. and decoy? Do I have enough points in c.s.? Right now it gives 46% chance.

For items I was thinking of using:
Weapon: 114 max bow with 40 ias (after I socket it with a shael)
Helm: ?
Armor: Twitch with 15 max
Gloves: Deaths
Belt: Deaths
Boots: ?
Ammy: ?
Ring: ?
Ring: ?

I'm wondering what boots, helm, rings, and ammy to use, I don't need the ar from angelics and sanders boots, but I could use sanders for the stats, as for rings and ammy, I was thinking about using +skills or sojs. Helm I was thinking possibly peasent crown for the +skills, life, energy, and r/w.
I still have to look into if cb and ow works on ranged weapons. So any input or advice from anyone will be most welcome, thanks.

CB vs players on a ranged weapon: 1/20th of their life

OW for level 30: Clvl=16-30: 25*(18*Clvl-104)/256 <- This is the actual DPS formula, not the DPFrame formula

I'd load up on obscene amounts of runwalk, IMO. Only real suggestion I have.

Personally, I'd shoot for 61% on critical strike. It helped out my old zon a TON.

That is not the full formula for Open wounds against other players.

Clvl=16-30: ((18*Clvl-104)/256) * Modifier

Triggers on a Player with attacker using a Melee Attack: 0.25
Triggers on a Player with attacker using Ranged Attack: 0.125

42.5 x .125 = 5.3 dps x 8 sec = 42.4 total damage

Open wounds is pretty weak on ranged, so you probably shouldn't make any big sacrifices to get it.

2 sojs (+skills for pasive, and nice mana, wich u will need alot. 300+mana is a minimum. if u dont have enough from helm, ring, amu, add some frw/mana sc's.

edit; forgot to say that decoy for me is a must. saved my life ALOT.
use it to cast it in front of bspear casting necro's. use it absorb guideds from other ama's, use it to make your opponent think it is u, whyle u shoot from another place, use it to make traps trigger on them... really many good reasons why u should get one.

Just be wary about using sojs....the mdr bug could reduce your damage by quite a bit (as much as 30 pvp damage I think)

I was thinking about using twitch not a max damage armor because with it and using the gothic bow and deaths I just hit the bp.

what im wondering for weeks... whats the mdr bug? does it mean that as long as u got any magic dmg, your dmg can be reduced by mdr, nvrm how much ele dmg u got?

Bows also require a lot of dex usually...another good reason to use twitch. IMO innersight is a waste because it is very little benefit and sometimes hard to cast from a distance which is where you will want to be. Hopefully you won't be on the same screen as ppl u duel against! SOJ definately, and instead of adding too many pts to passive get passive gear ie: 2pass glvs pref with dex and/or life other stat. I just built one of these but never finished and stripped her down. HOwever, I'm sure I still have some decent gear if you need. Including an upped rogues with nef socketed for KB...a must in my books.

a guy on europe ladder has a bowazon that has 86% frw (or at least that is what he told me). So, sanders and a frw/pass helm if you can find. Good build and a lot of fun IMO...but hard to find ranged duelers to play against. Zealots eat you up! Just run...VERY fast to stay away from them and pray they didn't put a point into charge to catch up. Decoy helps but only vs casters or other bowazons. You will need a lot of 3 max sc's pref with dex or life because bowazons big drawback is always damage! A lvl 29 zealot does 1.5-2k per hit...whereas a bowazon does around 500-750 (with rogues bow...not sure dmg with your bow) per arrow. With perfect gear you may hit 1k and with around 50% cs you have a shot of defeating melee if you run fast enough.

Ammy...definately 2passive/life. You should hit around 5-6 + skills from your passive gear which will give you good % in dodge,etc. NO pts into valk tho! Another gear option is the "Peace" runeword which has a small chance to cast valk... Laughing

Also +2 zon skills! I have a PERFECT one made if you want to trade (P = 15 ed mage plate). If you look at mods for Peace...they are very nice for a bowazon IMO... especially +2 to CS! Twisted Evil

If you use this armor it will also put your passive skills at +7-8 AND +2 CS = around 11pts into CS total..not bad considering you only put 1 pt into it.
