Since you can get all the runes up to Gul from forge, I think (hope?) that most ists are legit.

On USwest ladder I have never had an ist poof, or even hear of anyone that did. Although at least one duper likely duped some at one point, it would make sense for them to dupe high runes if for no reason but that they are worth more.

i have found 3 ists so far in my experience playing D2. thats more guls or mals or ums or puls dropped for me. it might seem a little odd that it is like that.
i have almost the worst luck ever. all my mf runs yield nothing. if i can find 3 ists from the little time i play, then i'm sure ist runes drop pretty often

i think all ist's are duped (unless u found it) cant trust people now days, i had like 5 ist's from a trade all went poof in the same day and yet i still do the perming trick

realy? i dont think so maybe it is for like hardcore or ladder but i remeber doing a hell forge for a friend and it dropped a ist for him.

Ist is lower than gul.
I wouldn't doubt that Ists on ladder are duped, since they are the main currency and many people don't take high runes anymore.
