WW Barb Help Please

Yes, if you don't do critical damage then you got 25% chance to do DS, so if you got 70% crit strike leaving 30% chance open, 25% of that is 7.5, meaning you got 77.5% chance to do double damage.

oh ok well..
still.
77.5% chance to do double dmg isnt bad at all.

and yea... ww barbs dont need defense too much anyways.
i mean... they DO...
but not too much.

No, they really do need a lot of defense, i'm not saying it's a bad trade-off, but the high defense is 1 of their main advantages.

well....
so far mine is doing juuuust fine with just over 2.5k def.
i own all melee.
zealers
fury druids
conc barbs
ww barbs
jab zons
u name it...
i own it.
so far anyway.
i dont think i've lost to a lvl 30 melee char in the 2-3 maybe 4 days that i've had this barb

well any skilled melee character stands a fair chance vs ww barbs..
and i wonder have u encountered any good ww barb with max ww speed with ure barb.. Wink

High defense is not needed for a barb, it never hurts to have a switch gear with high defense though. If I could find an eth/rep mage plate and grim shield I'd keep em on my barb because of the defense boost I'd get against some chars. For lld's, a ww barb should beat any melee. The only thing that should come close is a top-end fury druid, and maybe a defense zealot with very good charms.

I dueled a 30 conc barb w/ defense setup on and was still hitting him regularly enough to win each fight w/ over half life on my ww. Some melee's do not stand any chance against ww. Kickers are the best example. WW when they df and they die. WW away from their kicks and they die. Easy to outrange and easy to negate damage if you wanna be real mean. Very few melee's stand an above average chance against ww barbs.

Oh, and my barb has 1.5k def Smile

I do know that my decent lvl 30 min dmg zealot stands a fair chance vs the ww barbs I've faced so far, your's being one of them meegz, I don't win all the time but I do win a fair bit, don't I?

Yes, you win more than I thought you would for the charms on him. You also can catch me at the end of my ww better than anyone I've seen, and I have no fhr to counter that. If he had 48 fhr, it would be a different story altogether Smile

who would dual wield vs zealot.. its a massacre.. imo fury druids, zealots, kickers and conc barbs have a fair chance vs ww if they just move around dodgin ure ww and drainin ure mana.. or catch u at the end of ure ww and get some hits in.. ure deff aint too high so this should b piece of cake to do for kickers/zealots/fury druids with their fast attacks.. conc barb just should dodge ure ww and attack at the end of ww.. ofc.. every1 plays different styles with diff chars but i tend to catch ww opponent where they are weaker or not able to ww anymore.. not in the middle of their ww like some stupidos..

You forgot smiters. Everytime i duel a good smiter i ususally get killed fairly fast if they are using decent stuff. The only way i can do decently against smiters is if i use conc.

what smiters are you against?

dual wield and ww away beats ALL pure smiters....

erm.. ww away works only vs random pub duelers.. imo any1 even registered on this site wont follow ww barb while he ww away.. smiter works almost same as other melees.. catch barbs at the end of ww or out of mana with single charge from switch weap..

no you'd be suprised how many "registered" llders ive beaten with this lame strat and besides how is a smiter going to beat a ww barb without teleport? any smiter who charges at you or charges in front of you is just going to get mauled by ww since charge cuts block.

Here's another tip don't ww over a shift clicking smiter...

I dont even need a shield with my ww barb I can duel wield with peace against most melee/ranged classes except bowazon/ww/conc I think sometimes I can make do with dual wield + peace if their sucky

If this has not been said yet, Twitch has no effect on the ww speed.

I would for your budget recomend: A peace MP, 2x sheal bloodlutters, Goblen toe's, Crafted 10 CB+20 life gloves, or Upd blood fist, string? I personaly don't like the string, Upd 15 max swordback, 2x sojs, barb ammy of squid, or angelic's. 45 max+any skills you can get on a white barb helm, And as many 11-14 life scs, and fine scs as you can muster.
