HellGate London (WOW~!) |
|
If you have not yet heard of this game, you better start looking into it.
This game is going to be the best game to ever hit the earth. Just thinking about this game, makes me so excited i cannot contain it.
Hellgate London is what they are calling a First Person , RPG.
To everyone here , d2 fans this should be interesting.
Look at the GameSpot Preview on the link below, you will not be disapointed.

I like thios bit from the gamespot site
Quote: | GS: Finally, is there anything else you'd like to add about Hellgate: London?
ES: As a gamer, I personally don't like to be told what to do. I don't like looking up solutions on the Web. I don't like having to jump through the same hoops everyone else does. For this reason, we like to shake up the gameplay as much as we can. You won't be able to look up maps online to find where some monster drops what loot. There will be such a huge variety of equipment and character skill choices that people won't be able to post "ideal" builds. What we're aiming for is an open-ended RPG, where players can take a role in creating their own personalized experience.

Although im not totally conviced on the weapons, it looks very good.

yeah, but its ludicrous to make tedious links like that, because how were they - the game developers - to know this was going to happen, and they'll already have loads of merchendise type things with the name on it. As someone who lives in the Uk, i can personally say that the name of a video game(or generally its content) will never affend me, because its only words and pixels anywho....and even if i lived in London, i could honestly say that this game wouldn't affend me to an extent where i'd do something about it. Obviously, my own opinion here, and i can see how some might not like the idea, but by the time this comes out, things will have calmed down, and i don't think there will be a public outcry or anything like that.

This type of game has been done before.
Deus Ex, System Shock 2, those are the two big ones I can think of. Great games, by the way. Hopefully HG:L will turn out decently.

One of the game patches added multiplayer to it.. but it wasn't very good.
That series needs another game added to it. It's just that good.
Deus Ex, however... had a piss-poor sequel. DE:Invisible War was not worth the money paid for it.

i had the multi player mod but yeah it blew if i remember it allowed 1 other player to play co op and had a deathmacth type play as well? either way i want it like a mmorpg set on a cityscape where you still have large open areas but still can have buildings and whatnot to explore and get a true fps feel
