Subject description: lld101 references? trade rank?

How about adding a trade reference or trade rank.
For example, someone who traded in the past and got a good trade experience would reference someone else. That way we can tell who is a good trader.
Like a recommendation trade thing.

Something like: Difficult trader, Satisfactory trader, Awsome trader or something I dont know. I think I need new terminoligy there. lol

I got this idea from that flame post in the Pit. Some guy blew off another.
So, in order to avoid stuff like this, I recommend we add a trade rank or something that will say how well that person trades.

Also, that way new ppl or HLD's who stop by, know who they can trade easier, and who is not a good trader and might deliver problems.

wat do you guys think?

I'm on a Nissan forum that uses something like this and it works out pretty well. Whenever someone sells an item, the buyer leaves "feedback" similar to an ebay system with a link (if they want) to the original thread. People can click on a persons name and check out their feedback before deciding to make purchases from them. It's a little more necessary as you're paying lots of cash sometimes for parts you HOPE arrive in the mail.

In most cases here, it's as simple as a trade screen. And if it is a drop trade situation, most of us here are familiar enough with each other to not have to worry about "bad" traders. In fact, I have had people I don't even know drop a WHOLE lld right on the ground in front of me and come back for it with another character.

If it can be easily done on this forum software, then I'd say go for it. The only negative I can see would be friends fibbing on feedback for other friends, but REQUIRING a link to the original trade thread might help prevent that to some extent.

Something tells me you're a "glass is half-empty" kinda guy. Wink

In other words, if i understand you correctly, (for example): I'm looking at your FT thread for 20 15lifers. I tell you I'll give you 5 sojs for them and you accept my offer in that thread. I then meet you in game and do the trade. Then I drop the lifers to xfer them to another character and you graciously hold the game while I complete that. I come back, pick up all the lifers, then get on this site and leave feedback: OMFG SURVIVAL SCAMMED ME OF 20 15 LIFERS OMG OMG OMG!!!

Granted, bnet is full of pubby trash, but I just don't see that happening.

dtrades has it so you can leave a comment and give a +1 vote or -25 vote... if you give a negative vote you need a good reason or you will face consequences.
What's the point though, we basically all know each other here. you would have to be stupid to trust someone with 10 posts

A white list has been suggested before and the general consensus was "no." A V.I.P. group is a white list under a different name.

yup i know alot of lld'er that trust me and I trust them.

for instance.. crono trust me with his accounts.

others xfer mass w/e with me in game.. like hr's, dfathoms etc.

do I need a rank telling me I'm trustworthy? nope.
Either you trust me or you don't, end of story.

I say yes this could help the site in the long run.. but as of now, no.

If you look at the fact, if a new member, wanted a high rating..
make multiple accounts (change ips) and keep saying good trade etc to increase it.
which makes them a 'phony' trader...

idk i say depends.
since this site is phpbb2 we are somewhat limited on premade codes unless we have programmers making things for us.

dtrades and d2jsp is IPB ... completely different thing.

id prefer to trade on open trust instead of a name tag, it brings the community closer together, and an overall more friendly atmosphere and thats what i like about these forums.

yea, that's what I think as well, it would benefit other forums but I don't like the idea here.

the axact opposite my friend. Ppl from the outside will only see a little Dial on the right of every person. And it will say something like:
References: x
or
Good trader.

People will say, this is a proffesional site with proffesional traders.

Good point lld_master, but you're wasting your breath. People on lld101 don't like trying things that are "new".

Sad

Visual that's awfully ignorant, since we all know that 90% of the people on battle.net will. . . how shall I put it?

Scam, bam, thank you maam.
