I'm planning on making a LVL 30 smiter for pub games (which is all i play anyway!)

Are there any low lvl items which add +dmg on the weapon?
I saw a couple such as bloodletter and the General Tan Do Li Ga.
Would these work in a similar way to grief?

I want to focus on Pure Dmg but I'm a little confuse as to how some things will work - even after reading the Smite FAQ and the V/T thread on General board.

Will a +ED jewel work in the shield? ie +2combat/30,20 / 2 sox barbed shield with 2 x 20ed

Does the +xx-xx dmg from generals tandoliga work in the same way as grief does? (shames its a BM weapon!) I don't think it does as it's +min/+max wheras grief is just +dmg?

Similarly to the shield will 20% ed jewels work in armour and helm?


If all my assumptions are correct my setup would be this:

2 combat circlet / 30FRW . socketed 40% ed
2 combat / stats/res amulet
2 x soj
deaths gloves / belt
3 sox/life armour socketed 60% ed
Sanders boots
Generals Tan do Li Ga socketed Shael
2 combat 30/20 barbed shield socketed 40% ed

on swap i'll have probably honour and ed / dmg shield for charge.

Fill stash with 15 lifers

Skills will be

Smite Max
Fanta +1

Lots in charge and if any are left they'll go into synergies (i think charge has some)


So with this setup i'd have 140% ed from Items + ed from Fanta and +dmg added from the Tan Do Li Ga. I should hopefully hit 6frame smite with fanta + ias from items.

Any comments will be useful. Feel free to rip this to bits if i'm wrong! haha

+min/max does not work with smite, only +dmg

the 20% ed jewels will work providing they arent in your weapon.

since this is for pubs only maybe u should hell rush him. you'll get more skills/life/resists. and dont forget about holyshield for block/def/smite dmg. i dont know if cb will help at all but if it would, maybe consider gob toes.

Remember, ed% works best when there is a large base damage to work off of, therefore, you should try to get a large holy shield prebuff (2+scepter, 2 shield).

+str also gives ed% for smite, so you could think about getting ed/str jewels.

i got a lvl 30 smiter and use a 120ias military pick/up'd sback, pruby vipermagi, pruby pcrown, +2combat ammy, 2sojs, sanders, bloodfist, and deaths belt, spirit/spirit switch prebuff

i hit 6frame with the 130ias from -10 wsm, and i put my points in conc as it gives more %dmg than fana does with 1 point in it i can put more in conc

maxed smite, 7 in holy shield, rest in conc

dont need much dex at all up'd sback has 67% block already for pally and then lvl 17 holy shield......
str for sback is 65 can use a few str/life charms if needed

he works well for me!

LLD101 smiters are limited to level 28. If you want to keep making it for level 30, let me know and I'll move this to General Discussion.
