Clegs is a longshot at dropping before someone hits level 9 in an ironman. Here's my top five of items that have a shot at dropping for someone in an ironman that would be very useful:

I've actually gambled some good throwing weapons in ironmans before. One balanced knife I gambled had replenish, 30-ish ed, 2 max, ar, and increase stack size. It was quite nice.

PvP penalty is 17% (roughly 1/6th), minion penalty is 1/3rd, and the resists are taken into account from the remaining 17% of the damage.

Something like that anyway.

After 6 hits, the MDR will have reduced 90 damage, so by that point the string would be more useful. However, if you can only take 5 hits or less, the 80 life would be better.

I tried shopping for one myself, and I'm pretty sure they can't be shopped or found in 1.10. The only way to get one is from a pre-1.10 shopped/found scepter.

The elemental arrow zon builds won't work at these levels. Even in high levels, the elemental arrows will maybe get to 3k tops for damage with good gear, and that's not really a good amount to be use...
