alright, so im thinking of making a level 9 bash barb. my skills are going to look something like this:

7 bash
4 shout
9 mastry

gear im a little unsure about..

-60requirements/high ED ornate? or max dmg gothic. im leaning towards ornate.
-deaths gloves/belt or deaths belt/bloodfists (havent looked up ias bps yet, as i am unsure about a weapon)
-6*max jewel crystal sword? gnasher? azurewrath?
-pelta with max jewel? or some nice rare 15/10/stat/fhr shield?
-hotspurs
-max dmg jawbone
-nagels
-rare ar/stat ammy

input would be nice, any suggestions will be appreaciated.

For your rare shield, you can get deflecting mods at lvl 8 so you don't have to settle for 10/15 and ornate is level 25 require i think you might mean ancient armor. An ancient armor with 27+max and -60%req would for sure be the very best way to go, without shout you're looking at some high defense with that if you put 1 into shout. I would use deaths glove/belt because my friend made a bash barb with a flail with max jewels in it, and death glove/belt and it still attacked pretty slow. I would say to use pelta over the rare shield unless if you get an uber rare shield, cause pelta hits the 35%fbr thingy. I would exchange it for the rare if it got mods including: deflecting, 2 sockets, dmg to mana.
I don't see a need to go to rare instead of pelta if it doesn't get 2 sockets. maybe look for some fhr too ^-^ Maybe it's better to get advice from someone who has actually made a lvl 9 barb Laughing But I dunno, that's how i would do it anyways. Feel free to flame anything i have said if it's nooby, because i haven't ever made a lvl 9 barb before so maybe the entire post is nooby !

u have the jewels for the ancient.. Shocked ok well then yeah!

just make sure your not sacrificing too much dmg for def, bc keep in mind a new jab zon with maxed Inner sight (-260 of your gears def before shout) will still have pretty close to ITD against you, (unless u used sigons items for the extra 100 def)

if your competition is mostly sacers, bashers and sins,, the def will be great.

i think the mil pick is what u seek, 6 sockets with -10 speed. with 30ias = 11 frames (says the german site)

only khalmis will seems to hit 10frames. but with 4 good dmg jewels in the armor, 3 in the helm and 2 in shield.. the 10 frame will might be better then 6 sock pick (although i doubt that)

well im buying a 15ed/-15 jewel and a 20ed/-15 jewel in a few minutes. ill probably try to get 2 more like that to put in the ancients plate, and then just some double modded 9maxs i have lying around.

its not really for competition, but more for just the sake of making one. my sin is getting a little tiresome (especially with an unfinished claw) and i crave something new. though im making a new lld every weekend it seems (currenty have..9 made and equipt ones, 2 on the go, and 2 unlegit ones).

FYI, Military Pick (which is my choice over Crystal Sword) has -10 weapon speed, which is faster than the sword... And you can always meet its requirements in charms and bash people with your fist Smile
