this was brought up on Dii.net and i felt it was a bit of an interesting topic

seeing as how leech is now basicly gone an impact on LLD mana characters (but not casters) has enlarged.

now we all know that DTM .. or jewels with Dun preffixs will be the big commodity.. and seeing as how ed% +dmg is bugged... 12%dtm +15 jewels are the wave of the future!... as is the ever elusive mana +life charms (droool)

but the idea that antidotes, thawings, stamina, and mana might be allowed is an issue.

first off. antidotes and thawings not only give temporary +50% res they also raise the Max res by 10%.. its for this reason i am very against their use.

however stamina,, i have never had a problem with.. whats the harm/whats the use? whatever.. so no comment from me.

But mana, this is the big topic. and if they are allowed, is there some sorta limit on the type of mana... light, super?

Melee chars are already pretty underpowered since leech works right now. I think that it should be allowed. Only minor mana potions though...

There's no way to prove whether or not someone is using minor mana potions or super mana potions. It would be ridiculous to regulate something like that.

And yes, in LLD I think antidote and thawing potions should be kept banned, life potions are obviously banned, stamina potions...I could care less about.

Mana potions in certain situations can be useful but I do not think that they are necessary. If you choose to make a character that relies heavily on mana useage...you had better plan for that when you choose your items and charms. You might have to sacrifice some damage or life or whatever in order to ensure you have enough mana to last the whole duel. Mana potions are just an excuse to circumvent poor character planning.

I say keep all potions banned.

I am gonna agree with knarl, plan your characters to have more mana than what would be expected or a good regen, etc etc.. (stock up on damage to mana)
