They've been there for a couple weeks. But regarding why they are there and why access is restricted to it. I dunno.
And what DOES that jewel in the center of chat do anyways?

Usually those extra channels signify some sort of tournament on asia realm, they go away after awhile.
The jewel in the center of the screen does absolutely jack

I think i remember a friend telling me that the jewel was a joke made by blizzard.
And i remember people waisting themselves away trying to get P Gem Activated, hahha.

The gem in the center used to say "Moo" or something when activated in Classic... I never figured out... Never really noticed it until expansion, sadly.

When you go to Asia, replace the "USA" in the channel name with "KOR" or a country name.

Asia is like the msot full server ever that's why they had to make Asia 1 and Asia 2. And before they made the Asia realm, you couldn't enter a game without being the only non-korean!
