  • Testing character: Level 99 Sorceress with no difficulties passed.
  • Completed Act 1.
  • Imported a Horadic Staff from an item pack, completed Act 2.
  • Picked up Eye, Brain, Heart, Flail manually.
  • Transmuted.
  • Died with Flail in hand.
  • Mephisto killed.
  • Went into Act 4.
  • Rejoined game.
  • Flail is...still there.


So, it works. Unless you guys think that it won't work on realms.

Dangit, weB beat me to the post lol. It works because you go through the portal without it ON you. Since you can't pick it up after you pass the act if you drop it, and you can always pick up your corpse, it's still there. The game won't delete an item that's on a corpse because it doesn't look at your corpse when searching for an item. I guess the game just figures if it's not on you to be deleted you wouldn't be able to pick it up. Oh, well.

I'd assume you don't even have to leave the game to pick up your corpse, but to be on the safe side, I would also lol.

Dang I don't think this post made any sense. Too tired. sorry guys.

So it still works huh? know what i used to do in 09 was just leave the game and come back after they broke the compelling orb. My flail never got deleted, but i think they changed that now. Good to see I can still do it somehow.

Just did it on Realms, USEast Ladder

Died at Travincal, got quest.
Killed Mephisto
Took Red Portal.
Left Game
Rejoined
Khalim's Will still intact.
