yeah.. this thread was going pretty well, i liked the way it was turning out and i don't want to have to lock it.
there's a line where jokes become too offensive. as for whether or not velocity's "joke" crossed it, i really don't know. most funny jokes (in my opinion) are made at someone's expense - polish jokes, blond jokes, what have you.

i'm going to lean towards 'bad joke' on this one even though when i first read it, i near wet myself (however, i first read it when i was about 12 years old). i mean, if velocity meant to come off as a racist, i'm sure he could have come up with (or found something else on the internet) something a bit more offensive.

i'm not altogether upset with the joke (though it will get deleted as soon as i'm done posting this), i'm more dissapointed that you guys could break down into petty arguements that easily (spazz, i'm looking in your general direction).

its partially my fault. im a little sensitive when it comes to jokes against chinese people, probably because when i was younger, i was the only oriental kid of any kind in my classes, so i was always the odd man out. i guess it just sorta stuck with me
