20-40 depending on the seller. and if you;re asking for specific pgems (such as pskulls, or prubies) it becomes less, like 12-20 to a soj.

On east, it was still 40:1.
You people can't remember old school things, I remember leveling my Lance Barbarian in Act 4, Outter Steps.. That was years ago, I can still remember my Spear Mastery, 1. I was a noob. (Classic, for you slower ones.. the only time lancers were good )

on West hexs dominated the economy
everyone had mules filled with SOJs and they had next to no value for gear...they traded like 15:1 for quite a while.

Heh, I remember how excited I was when I got my first soj, I scraped together 40 chips for it, then I struck it big by finding a vex in hellcows, which I traded for a shaftstop, which I thought sucked. I didn't understand dr  , then I traded the shaftstop for a bunch more sojs... which I still have spread around all my characters
I hate the economy now, the only way to trade for something is either to trade duped high level runes, or to trade duped charms (not that sojs weren't duped... but still)
