I've tried loading a avatar up several times and all I get is this hot looking red X. I downsized the pictures, I've uploaded them on a few sites, and I've tried linking them. Still get this red X. Anyone know what's wrong or what I'm not doing right?

If you are loading it from your computer, for some reason, that doesn't work. You have to host it on a photo site like photobucket.com.

And I think that one of the other two possible places to put the URL doesn't work. So try both, and if neither work, then I have no idea what's up. Rolling Eyes

make sure you are using the option

Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to.

all you have to do is copy and paste the url as given to you from the site. most sites will have a url that says below it something to the effect of "show this image to friends" or "copy this link to view the picture".

go to http://www.imageshack.com/
browse and upload your pic
copy the last link
paste it in the second box (Link to off-site Avatar)
and hit submit

it should work if it doesnt then pm me again and ill give a more detailed steps

i got pmed with this question a while ago heres how i answered maybe it will help

I think it's the picture I'm trying to upload is messed. Because when I goto the direct link it shows another red X. I'll try and find a differnt one.

it's still too wide. if it pushes the text to the right, it's too wide. shrink it.
