I don't mean to beat the dead horse, but the rule isn't going to change, and keeping this thread alive isn't going to change that.

I've never liked amp of any kind in Gm duels. It's always been considered Bm in any dueling leagues i've been invloved in (Gimmeitam, Clan-Honor, 76 Legit, ect) aswell as any other types of chance to cast on striking / charges.
It seems to be regarded as fine in VLLD tho, personally i'd never use it, even if i found an elite item that had X% to cast amp on it.... But thats more of a personal code of conduct for me.
As for smite... thats tough... I guess i don't have a problem with it if i can back away and re-group / re-position... Tho under the current rules iirc u have to stand toe to toe in melee, which i never agreed with. I've always been a big believer in being able to move and re-position to get ideal hits and utilize range effectively. Standing there and holding down "attack" until someone dies seems somewhat silly to me, but thats another discussion for another time.

ok i have had time to think on this, and read people opinions.
i argued amp serves to benefit the multi hitters predominantly and that it was tough to regulate...., but ultimatly i see AMP% rules either way dont really matter, so just allow it and lets not be restrictive.
i challenge someone to mule over in their heads and concoct scenarios and builds that need AMP, or come up with new builds that would use it and suddenly become viable.
;How could Amp% upset a system where you duel for rank then re challenge?
the point is it is incumbent to the players to use and for organizers to work with it, the bigger issue i see here is we do not restrict players, and its all fun.
also the rule, to refresh.
9. Running, as a tactic, may be limited by dueling classes and by tournament organizers.
There is nothing about strict toe-to-toe. LLD101 has always maintained some policy of limited combat evasion, this stems from the publics manners as well. thus the rule is vague.
i also argued smiters are tough but cannot win everything and can be negated. Since you know who you are fighting you can alter some gear choices. i never liked building with only 1 set of gear, i found that too restrictive. its important and viable to make gear choices based on opponents.
as it stands i like the rules the way they are,
voted to keep them
if u think you can break them, please do, please make a build that challenges the current rules and post that here.
i doubt an amp smiter will do it.
and i doubt an amp kicker or jabber will do it
