Subject description: For those who have had a chance but did not act in time.

Well, the girl of my dreams is getting married soon and I can't decide what to say to her before she does.

In my situation, I know her through friends and relatives so I've had my chances to make my move everytime she and I would have these long staring contests, even though shes with someone else. And this has gone on for many years but I never did have the courage to talk to her. Fuckin' aye, I'm an idiot. Because hell, look at me, I'm a fuckin' bum and shes a princess with big plans for her future. Shes got her Masters' Degree in Law, yes freakin' Law. Compared to her I'm a bum with no right to even talk to her.

I don't know but it always feels like a dream when we are in the same proximity. We don't see eachother alot but when we do, ah, she watches and stares at me with no avail. Its a scary thing. I stare back too and then I always asks myself, "what the hell does she see in me?" I'm just a punk with no future.

Anyways, these are some of the things I think I should do.

1.) Greet and congratulate her.

2.) Don't look or talk to her again, basically do nothing.

3.) Tell her what I think about her.

4.) Pretend I don't care that she is getting married.

Any suggestions is welcome also, thanks!

You should tell her how you feel, it would be a shame if you didn't. But if you like her as much as you claim, her happiness is what should be most important, so be sure she knows that.

For the record, love doesn't exist.

For the record, love DOES exist and I'm happy to use my first post on lld101 to state that. Smile Call me a sentimental fool if you wish.

Just tell her how you feel. The regret for not having done so will eat you alive for the rest of your life. If she doen't feel the same way, at least you will know for sure and you can move on.

Perhaps I should rephrase that to say, love doesn't exist for humans, unless you count the watered down selfish "love" that is displayed.

if she's getting married, i think you're a little bit late to be honest. confessing your love for her will only make things awkward once she's married. unless you're 100% positive she wont get married to the other guy once you tell her, i wouldnt bring it up. #1 gets my vote.

Well, I never said I loved her but there were chances for me to do so. I have talked to her occasionally, with friendly greetings but not like a conversation to be honest.

I just feel like I lost my chance. And now shes getting married. I may be too late as some of you have pointed out. And I don't want to put anything in her mind that will hurt her current relationship. I believe the best thing to do now is just to congratulate her and move on. Heh, its gonna hurt though. Thanks for your thoughts it really helps. Peace!
