Could someone explain how exactly barb throw damage is bugged?

How's the displayed damage miscalculated?

How's the real damage calculated?

What about AR?

I would like to know as well, also.. could someone explain how to stat glitch on a throw barb? I'm confused here.

It seems I did it wrong, I just thought that all you had to do was acquire the last point(s) of the stat req with charms.. I did this but people can still see my spears as can I..

Which is wrong. It's 75/75 for all throwing weapons, but 80/50 for amazon javelins (spears too).

"Lots" would be about right, this should be the formula the LCS uses to calculate Double Throw dmg:
weapon damage * (1 + double swing synergy ED/100 + throwing mastery ED/100) * (1 + stat bonus ED/100 + aura bonus ED/100 + off-weapon equipment ED bonus/100)

As you can see it multiplies with the synergy and mastery first, then does the rest. In reality those two get added into the skill ed% pool, so the end result is much lower.

So in order to find out how off your double throw damage is you would have to calculate each items ed% out like that in their equation.. Seems awfully difficult..

..and what did they mean by 75/75? Does that mean for every 75 stat points into both dex ANd str you get 50% ed offhand added? i'm confused about this..

The char screen doesn't display throw damage properly. It's about 1.5 times the actual value, as a general rule of thumb - at least on my 18.

You can calculate the correct damage using PPR's damage calculator in the Sticky.

To stat glitch a TSpear, you need to have the requisite stats to equip the ThrowSpear (i.e. dex) come from charms. Make sure that you don't have any equipment like Angelics, CK boots, or Twitch that has dexterity adds that you may not have noticed.

75/75 means every 100 points in str or dex will add 75%ED.

Ahh I see, makes a bit more sense now.

I figured out my dex problem yesterday.. for some reason it wasn't working because the last item I put on was ck boots giving me the rest of my dex.. i took all my dex charms out and put them back in and now im blinking and glitching all over the place :] thank you.

All off-wep ed is lumped together; however, rather than being added to the skill bonuses (synergy/mastery) it is multiplied with them.

For example, if we have 100% ed from synergies/mastery and 200% off-wep ed, on a 100 damage weapon, it will be calculated as:

100(1+100/100)(1+200/100) = 600 damage

rather than

100(1+[100+200]/100) = 400 damage.


The former is what the LCS displays, the latter is what your actual damage is. I believe the same applies for AR (skill %bonuses multiply with other %bonuses), however I'm not 100% sure.
