Depends on the rest of your gear/resists/ and if you gain cbf from other places.

Personally I would probably use a resist spirit over a ed/ar spirit shield unless your much more of a hybrid if I had to choose a spirit shield.

why use strength? u can use a black flail and get 100 cb and still have good speed since you can put points in fanat.

just put a couple 20/15s n your helm/armor.

Black Flail is still imo the best weapon of choice. They shouldnt cost that much :p
Then you could use water walks or Sanders.

nice blocking, decent resists, cannot be frozen. however, rhyme in a 45 res 2soc gilded would be pretty nice. up'd swordback is always another option.

I'd have to agree with Strength runeword... you need as much cb as possible b/c smiter damage is low and OW just doesn't cut it in low lvls, max HS and Fant with as much cb and fastest attack possible... IAS needed (15 wep, 10 gloves, lvl 11 fant) = 17ias for the bp?

As far as the shield, rhyme, your not going a defencive build, so opening up for SoE will be very useful
