Disclaimer: I know this isn't tournament legal, and I wasn't sure if writing a guide was worth the effort. However, after reading a few PK-build threads, I thought you might appreciate this.

Yes, it's very lame.

v1.0 - Paralysis - Paladin using Holy Freeze/Slow/Zeal

Contents:

1.0 Pros and Cons
1.1 Levelling
1.2 Equipment
1.3 Skills
1.4 Max Block
1.5 Final Stats
2.0 Duelling
2.1 Specific Duelling
2.2 Other Notes

1.0 Pros and Cons

Pros:
1. It's fairly unique - I have never seen one in about a year or so of LLD.
2. It's rather good. I've killed a few lvl 70s, a few hardened LLDs, and a lot of randoms.
3. It's comical. Fighting an amazon with a 20 frame dodge is very funny.
4. Easy to build - the equipment is very transferable from your lvl 18 Zealot.

Cons:
1. People may object to your being lame. Frankly, who cares?
2. It's not tournament legal. Obviously.

1.1 Levelling

Paralysis, my version, is not hell rushed. This means he has 24 skill points, and I've found that alright. Personally, I wouldn't hell rush this character, as it is much more a public PK, so you want to be able to see baal runs etc.

1.2 Equipment:
The equipment is fairly easy to come by. Paralysis uses 15 maxers and cheap charms. Obviously, you could use 40x 3/15s and 9 24 maxers. Obviously.
Ha.

Weapon: The General's Tan Di Lo Ga
Socketed with: A (15) maxer.
No choice here. Fast, and with it you hit the maximum 50% slow for duelling. Absolute filth incarnate.

Gloves: Death's Gloves
30% IAS and CBF are absolutely invaluable.

Belt: Death's Sash
See above

Boots: Sander's
Stats and 40 FRW. The FRW is what's important, but these are obviously the best boots at lvl 21, I don't think that needs explaining.

Jewelery: FCR rings and Nokozan Relic.
Obviously. Either that or Angelics.

Armour: Twitchthroe
Socketed: A (15) maxer
Awesome armour. IAS/Block etc. etc.

Helm:
Sup Crown 3 Sockets
Socketed with: 3x (15) Maxers

Shield:
Aerin/Crown/Heraldic with 60%+ ED/AR
Socketed with: 4x (15) Maxers

Inventory:
At the moment, I haven't really messed around with this, and just filled it with Max damage charms. That said, I think stacking FRW would be very, very handy with this build. People running is a pain, and getting a first hit in is really important.

1.3 Skills

24 Skill points. Obviously, your main attack is Zeal, and your aura is Holy Freeze. I experimented with using Might/Conc and Aura-flashing Freeze. It didn't work at all, as it's too low a level to hang around.

Pre-Reqs: Take up: 2 Points

Holy Freeze: 4 Pts (Max for your level)
Zeal: 4 Pts (Lets you hit 5 attacks)
Smite: 1 Pt (Breaks defence for first 'slowing' hit)
Charge: 1 Pt (For hunting, especially fast moving problems.)
Sacrifice: The rest. This can be anything from 13 to 20, depending on a hell rush etc.

1.4 Max Block
You'll get a pretty decent block with this build, as twitch is handy. However, I'd argue it isn't worth sacrificing damage for a higher block, as the slow tends to even things out.

1.5 Final stats:
Something around 900 zeal damage is fairly impressive, as you're not using might.
700-800 Life
20 FHR (Charms not inclusive. Can be upped, I'm not sure about the breakpoints)
40 FRW (Ditto.)

2.0 General Dueling
This character is, above all, good fun. The sheer panic that shows up as soon as you hit with the first smite at your opponents sheer inability to attack is highly satisfying.
On the whole, it should go like this:
1. Charge
2. Smite (This should penetrate the defence so you are slowing them from the first attack.)
3. A few Zeals, then a Smite. A few Zeals, then a Smite. Repeat ad nauseum. This adds to the stun, and keeps them nice and slow.

2.1 More Specific Dueling

Amazons:
Definitely the best fun duel, purely due to the dodges. As soon as you slow them with both freeze and slow, the dodge animation becomes very, very long. They tend to have to just stand there and take the onslaught, as they end up in a continual stun-lock animation. Good fun.

Druids:
More difficult, just because of the heinous amount of life they pack. Take out the Oak Sage first, then concentrate on the stun lock. The fact they tend to have a solid FHR and IAS make this more difficult, but you should still win.

Sorceress:
This is interesting. 1 hit KO if you can get in close enough, but getting there is difficult, as they're unaffected by slow. However, at this level, you should be able to take a few hits, even from higher level sorcs. You'll probably lose this, but like I said, look at them funny and they'll fall over.

Barbarians:
Under lvl 30: Easy, easy duel. You should rape them every time, as smite will pierce the stupid defence, allowing your zeal to bear down on them when they're slowed down.

Above lvl 30: Whirlwind is your worst nightmare. You will probably die.

Other Paladins:
Chargers: Easy, you are their worst nightmare. They will bounce off you.
Smiters: Lvl 33ish plus, difficult. Fanat is a pain, but a bit of slow should sort them out.
Zealots: Lovely stuff. A slow zealot is fairly easy.

Necromancers:
Your smite will pierce the bone armour, which is great, then let the zeal do the work. This is easier than a sorceress, but still a difficult duel.

Assassins:
Kicksins are a bit like zealots - they're easier when slowed to buggery. I haven't lost to one yet, but I haven't duelled a good one.

2.2 Other notes.
Nothing yet. Thoughts?

Good build. They are loads of fun, and are extremely fun to use on the cocky duelers who think they are the shit and you freeze them up. However smiters work better with teh freeze Smile.

I considered building something like this for kicks a while back - if you want to go to level 22, you can use Goblin Toes for some nasty crushing blow.

Its so fun when you get the E-ragers. They swear and curse and go ape shit because everytime they run out they are almost frozen solid. I remember dueling a 21 smiter with a gen flail and HS. Undefeated.

Aye, but at lvl 21, Smite is painfully difficult to get decent damage, isn't it?
I like the idea of smite, but zeal seems to get it done.

And how effective would goblin toe be?

I'm confused on the "Jewelery", why faster cast rate rings? I can understand why Nokozan Relics for the maxed fire resist. Otherwise, great job making this guide.

Thats why you have curshing blow. A level 9 smiter can get a level 90 down to half hp with crushing blow. Goblin toe would be very effective.

Just have a generals flail and Hs to slow them down and continually smite them till there hp is really low. A smiter can actually put out some decent damage if made right (I dont know about 21, but say level 29 Lame-din).

And I love how you named it the Lame-adin. Lol.

Sounds ace, and something I'll try. I was thinking level 29 might work, I think that sounds like a non-ladder project.

What? You're the one who needed it explaining, I'd have left it if you'd understood it. I thought it was obvious that angelics were far and away the only choice.

Thanks for underlining your own mediocrity.

v1.0 - Paralysis - Paladin using Holy Freeze/Slow/Zeal <-- 99% of classic lld chars are either slow/hf smiters or zealers
