Quite a few months ago, sounds made on the internet stopped working. Winamp sounds work, AIM, etc. But nothing from my internet browser. Currently I'm using internet explorer.

Anybody know possible reasons as to how it happened/how to fix it?

Any help is appreciated!

Try using another browser, if it works fine with say, Firefox, then you know the problem is with Internet Explorer.

Try using google, I'm sure other people have had the same problems as you, and there might be a method to fix it already online.

I've been looking for an excuse to dl firefox anyways, hopefully that is where the problem is. If not I suppose googling works too.

Opera is better... but Fire Fox is good too. FUCK internet explorer, it's awful.

Control panel -> internet options.

Under the advanced tab make sure "play sounds in webpages" [just over halfway down the list in the multimedia section] is checked.

Thats all i can think of now but its kinda unlikely it would just become unchecked. If that doesnt work you could click the Reset button in the same tab.
