My brother just got internet on his computer and we are planning to play together a lot on west ladder. Do we need to buy another D2 AND LOD or is a new LOD-key enough?

no you will need 2x sets of both cd keys xpac and classic.

You need Diablo + LOD (and cd keys) for each computer you plan to play on.

you need different cd keys for d2 and the expansion.

You need 2 sets of classic and lod keys. If you dont feel like buying a new set of disks, you can mount an image of the lod disk using something like Daemon Tools and battle.net will be none the wiser:P
