I didn't know how to spell blue-ray because I have just talked to some managers at Best Buy and they are very excited about blu-ray. If you're going to let something like a spelling error turn your brain off, then you'll probably be brain dead the rest of your life. I don't know why you're getting so riled up Grim, we're just voicing our opinions based on what we know of technology and the market today. We (the US) are moving very fast from what we like and what we want next. Look how fast Plasma screen TVs entered the household and became affordable. Anyway, if you want to have a discuss, I am more than willing to do so, but if you want to just point your e-finger and scoff, then there is no point in talking with you.

Blue-Ray is worthless, thats why the Ps3 is so expensive.

Wow.. I watched some videos of the ps3 and if it's good graphics that you are looking for I would DEFINETLY go for the ps3.
I've always been much more fond of the Nintendo games though, and I think I always will.
The best game of all time is still Mario Kart 64

Ok let's get a few things straight.

1. Wii VS PS3 is a load of crap... why you might ask, well it's really quite simple, they aren't competing. It's like comparing a car to a bike, you either want to drive a car, or ride a bike... or both ofcourse. The Wii is far less superior then the PS3, infact the Wii is closest to the Xbox (yes the first one) specifications wise, so the games that are released on the Wii will be different like Nintendo has done so in the past. In the end when people want to buy a console then they might think about which console to get first, but they won't go for either a Wii, or a PS3. Which is unlike the X360 and the PS3, who are competing for the same ground.

2. Blu-Ray has done only damage to Sony so far, and i doubt it will be the next standard.
The Blu-Ray drive is something obviously created by Sony as the follow up from the DVD, the thing about it is the name won't get peoples attention enough... you go ask people what Blu-Ray is, and the majority will look at you if it's some kind of new deodorant or something, now go ask them about HD-DVD, now while the majority doesn't know exactly what it is, they know what DVD is, and with all the HD business these days they tend to "know" what you are talking about.
The same will be when they are going to buy a next gen videoplayer, HD-DVD will sound right to most, and as ignorant that might sound, processor maker Intel is still selling way and way more then AMD simply because they're better known, even though AMD been a major force for like 6 years.
The damage that Blu-Ray has done is the heavy delays of the PS3 and the insane price, right now they can't make Blu-Ray drives fast enough, i believe it's a certain element used for it that they can't get fast enough, which is why it's delayed so much, which has given the X360 such a huge headstart that it will be hard to compete with it, also the insane price will keep most families from buying it for their children.

3 About the space argument, Grim is right, games don't use up the space right now, and i read a article from the X360, and right now games can be still made like 2-3 times bigger due to compression techniques (which it has hardware for to use it properly) and because it uses dual layer technology, so diskspace ain't a problem at all.

Image quality isn't important, but what is it 800$ for a PS3? I bought my pc for 950, and I'd like to see a PS3 over power it... And I have a 360, and that there is all I'll ever need. Very Happy
