Ive NEVER understood this, seems all of America/Canada likes the Monty Python films but ask anyone in England under 20 years old and they've probably never heard of them. Ok they're good films but I dont see why they have bigger worldwide appeal than they do in the country of origin Wink
John Cleese is very good in most comedies he does, anyone seen Fawlty Towers? British comedy series set in a hotel. He also did the voice of the King in Shrek2, oh and hes the gadget man in James Bond films taking over from Q. Saw him a few years back in London, this guy is HUGE, think he's around 6'8.

british comedy is funny as hell. black adder, monty python, red dwarf, faltey towers, all great shows.

then theres great british movies/euro theme, or great movies directed by british peoples.

lock stock and two smoking barrels, snatch, boondock saints, mean machine. all great movies.

Now your talking Voices !! Laughing

Lock, Stock is one of my all time fave films. And Red Dwarf (apart from the last series) is pure laughter in a can. William Shatner wanted to take Red Dwarf off the air when he first saw it, thought it was just a mockery of Star Trek, then he saw a few episodes and found how good it was. The Cat in Red Dwarf went on to appear in Blade2, the vampire in the Blood Pack. Just couldnt take that role seriously when i was watching it Laughing

I don't necessarily like all of the monty python films. I personally fell asleep watching The Life of Brian, but that was because I was watching it with a friend at midnight and I was tired. Embarassed

Most of the monty python films/skits have their moments, but for me, the holy grail was really funny all throughout and it's one of those movies you can quote over and over and never get tired of it.

And that is weird that monty python doesn't have the same popularity in their home country as they do in america. I would have thought there would be golden statues erected in England of all the cast members. Wink Laughing

Kiss of the dragon was pretty sick when that guy landed on his head and his neck is at a 90 degree angle.
