Why do all the messages i try to send to other members lately get put into the outbox and never into the sent box?

Any ideas? doesnt look like they're ever being sent Crying or Very sad

Why does the time vary in sending PMs?

Cause sometimes it sends instantly and soemtimes it doesnt send at ALL.
(i still a Pm from like 3 months ago that is still in the outbox but just deleted it today.)

If a PM is in your outbox, that means you have sent it, but the person you sent it to has not read it yet.

If a PM is in your sentbox, that means you have sent it, and the person you sent it to has read it.

So if a PM is in your outbox, you're fine...you just have to wait for the person to read it.

actually. thats wrong.

when its in your outbox, it means you;ve sent it, but the person hasnt come online yet to receive it. you can still edit it or delete it, and they wont see the prior message (or at all if you delete it).

if its in your sent box, it means you;ve sent it, and they;ve come online to receive it.

yea. keep in mind, if you;re editing, and they come online while you;re in the process, they will get the original, and then the edited version when you press "send".

and the same goes for deleting, theyll get it before you delete it.

What do you mean I'm wrong? You just said the same thing as I did, but in different words. The PM will stay in the outbox until the person reads it. It doesn't go in the sentbox as soon as the person comes online.

If it's in the outbox, it means that it was sent, but it hasn't been read by the person you sent it to yet.

If it's in the sentbox, that means the person has read it.

I don't understand why you're saying I'm wrong. Maybe because it's 2 am and I'm tired and I have a test I need to study for before I go to bed and I'm just putting it off.

because you said if its in your outbox you have sent it. that is not the case, if it was already sent, and you edited it, they would get 2 versions (not that they would be able to edit something already sent). if its in your outbox, it hasnt been sent yet, as it waits til the person comes online to be sent.

and i said "thats wrong" not "you're wrong" Laughing Razz
